Second Life: Not For Kids

Second Life has what they call as “mature” content so I took the liberty of doing a little exploring. Don’t worry, I’m an adult! LOL! The easiest way to find adult or mature oriented content in SL is to use the search feature and click on the mature checkbox thing. If we want to find a place in SL we click the “Places” tab, type in our adult related search keyword like for example “sex”, click on the include mature checkbox and then hit the search button. A list of mature related places will be listed. They are sorted by the amount of traffic that particular place receives. Look at the list, make your pick and hit the Teleport button. You can also use the “Popular Places” tab to find your mature oriented content.

Okay, let’s visit Neva Naughty’s place and see what naughty things are happening in it. You’ll see Neva Naughty listed as a Popular Place in SL. Below are snapshots from Neva Naughty! (Warning! Explicit images ahead! Not for kids!)

Next stop was Sexy Beach. Sexy Beach is much popular than Neva Naughty based on traffic ranking but I saw more people in Neva Naughty’s naughty room than that of Sexy Beach.

There are tons of other places where you can access mature content in Second Life. Now the question is, “How sure is Linden Labs (LL) that those who access Second Life are all adults?”. I remember that SL used to validate age through credit card validation but now anyone can register a free basic account in SL giving kids access to all this mature content. I know, CC validation is not 100% reliable in checking age but it was better than nothing. Right now, LL will be re-introducing some kind of age check system to make sure (not 100%) that only those aged 18 and up can access Second Life.

So remember kids, Second Life is not for you but Teen Second Life is! So, go get that instead! LOL!
