The New Kabalyero In Second Life

The Roman Empire sim got me so interested in it that I used my main avatar, Kabalyero Kidd, to join Rome but before that I have to make my avatar ready for it’s new role in Second Life. The thing that really got me interested was the Gladiator Fights. I find it fun to watch and got really curious about it so I joined!

But before joining, the first thing I did was to search for a suitable armor and I found some in SLExchange. I bought 3 sets of Armors:

  • Full Plate Dragon Knight Armor by Sut Snook
  • Drakolian Knight Armor by Sut Snook
  • Heavy Armor / Templar Knight Plate Mail by Kytex Switchblade

The creator of the Drakolian and Dragon Armor, Sut Snook, was so nice that he even created a cape for my Dragon Knight Armor because the package does not come with a cape.

The next thing I bought was the DCS2 system. This is the combat system used in The Roman Empire. It gives you a meter that tracks your health, stamina, strength, experience and others. The system can be configured by the sim owner to his/her liking. After that I bought swords.

I bought 3 DCS2 swords; The Broad Sword, The Dark Sword and The Hellfire Sword, and 1 DCS2 compatible sword. My favorite is the Hellfire Sword but unfortunately, I can’t use it in combat.

After all that, I went to The Roman Empire and joined the Gladiators. I was introduced by Enrich Halasy to Giovanni Alevaux who taught me how to fight in the Coliseum. He is a great teacher and an awesome fighter. I learned a lot from him.

I rarely use Kabalyero Kidd in Second Life but now that he is a Gladiator of Rome you’ll be seeing more of him in-world.
