RPG Empires continues to grow as new regions are added regularly. One of RPG Empires latest region is the Egyptian Empire.
The Egyptian Empire is, obviously, based on and inspired by Ancient Egypt. We all know that once, like The Roman Empire, Egypt was a mighty empire ruled by a Pharoah who was adored and almost worshiped like a God by his people.
Ancient Egypt contributed to the world their knowledge and understanding in the fields of medicine, astronomy, mathematics, architecture, engineering and the arts. They also gave us the Pyramids, Sphinx and others. Unfortunately, this once mighty empire is no more. It is true that Egypt still exists today but modern day Egypt is just a mere shadow of its former splendor and magnificence. LOL!
Anyway, now you can enjoy Ancient Egypt in Second Life through RPG Empires’ Egyptian Empire Region. The region is made up of three sims, giving you more than enough sand dunes to enjoy, LOL. Again, as with the other regions of RPG Empires, this is a creation of mikeD Streeter.
The Rulers of the Land
The Pharoah and Queen of the Egyptian Empire are Skyyy McCallen and Lurgan Ling. Based on recent RP news, I know that Skyyy McCallen is a Prince in The Roman Empire region and brother of the former Emperor of Rome, Enrich Halasy. Currently, as the ruler of Egypt, he has the title Rameses III, the Living God. By the way, don’t ask me how a Prince of Rome became a God in Egypt because I honestly don’t know. LOL!
The Queen of Egypt is Lurgan Ling. I only know her through the group notices she regularly sends in behalf of The Roman Empire. She also regularly hosts tournaments and fights at The Roman Empire region but now that she’s the new Queen of Egypt, I guess she won’t be doing anymore hosting. Have you seen a lady of such stature, a Queen, host any kind of fights before? It’s a task best assigned to a servant. LOL!
These two personalities are very active members of The Roman Empire and I’m sure they’ll be able to bring all that they’ve learned in Rome to Egypt.
The Egyptian Empire
To best describe the Egyptian Empire region, I will look into the different areas of the region starting from the first sim.
The Landing Point
When you first visit the Egyptian Empire, I would advice that you start with the first sim so that you won’t miss anything. The landing point of the first sim is at a dock. There, you will find a boat that will take you to Rome and Japan but don’t leave just yet because you haven’t seen the rest of Egypt. LOL!
You will also be greeted by two large Egyptian Statues and between the two of them, you will see a 3D map of the region. The map will give you a quick overview of the entire region and it will also show where you currently are.
Of course, as with the other regions in RPG Empires, the Rules and Guidelines sign will always be there to help guide visitors in their stay in the region. It is highly encouraged to read the Rules first before continuing and the Rules for each regions can sometimes differ from each other. So, take the time to read them.
The Shopping Area
The Egyptian Empire has one of the biggest shopping area in all of the empires. Wait, I think the best description would be the longest because it spans two regions.
What I like about Egypt’s shopping area is that it’s very spacious and it doesn’t feel crowded (see screenshot). Rental setup is the same with mikeD Streeter’s regions, commission only (25% goes to the Sim Owner and 75% goes to the Vendor). If you are interested in setting up shop in the Egyptian Empire then just send a request to mikeD Streeter. You can also find the instructions on how to setup shop in the stalls itself.
Creators and brands like Rfyre have started placing vendors at Egypt but there are still spaces available for you if you do wish to setup shop there. Just hurry though, I feel that those spaces won’t be available for long.
Egyptian Homes
The shopping area uses almost half of the first sim. The other half has residential homes. The houses in the Egyptian Empire are creations of Douglas Niles who specializes in building low-prim but high quality structures in Second Life. You will also find his beautiful creations at SLExchange.
These houses or homes are very well spaced and they are just beside a nice stone path. The cost to rent one of these homes is 950L$ per week with a minimum lease of 4 weeks and maximum lease of 16 weeks. Prim limit is set to 200 prims.
The Pyramid
It won’t be Egypt if there is no Pyramid, right? Well, the Egyptian Empire do have one and it’ big. Right now, there is really nothing there yet but as the region gets developed more, more things will surely be added there like maybe mummies? O_o
By the way, the Pyramid is located at the second sim. The second sim still has lots of open spaces so expect more things to be added here.
For Couples Only
I found two locations in the second sim of the Egyptian Empire that seems to be specially made for couples. They are located at both sides of the sim and poseballs depicting love and romance are laid out all over. Sorry, I didn’t see any sex related poseballs so, you’ll have to rent a private room for that extra thing. LOL!
