The I LOVE M.E. (Medevil England) was a big success in my book. The number of people who came to participate was very encouraging. I did not participate in any of the games but I did stay and watched all of it. I stayed in a corner so that I won’t get in their way and just used my camera to pan and zoom around.
The I Love M.E. Tournament is made up of 3 games and they are Jousting, Archery and Melee Fighting. Participants will compete in all of the games and the overall winners will be awarded with Linden Dollars and some really cool items from a special sponsor whom I forgot who (sorry about that, bad memory). The Tournament Master assigned was Chandu Dresler and I believe he did a great job at it.
Jousting
Jousting was the first event of the tournament. It involves a horse and a really long stick. It is done by riding on your horse towards your opponent and then poking them with that long stick. LOL!
Archery
This event involves the use of a bow and arrows. He he he! You take a bow and then shoot an arrow towards a stationary target. This event was harder than it looks because you need to hit the bullseye to score. No bullseye, no score, no points!
Melee Fighting
The melee fighting part of the tournament was not an individual event. It was a team event. The fighters were divided into two teams, the blue and the red team. I wasn’t able to follow this event closely but I think the blue team got the most wins.
After the last event, the points earned by each fighter or participants were tallied by the Tournament Master and the winners were announced. Prizes were awarded to the winners by Thelema Parnes, Queen of France.
The I LOVE M.E. tournament of Medieval England was never boring since there were three events in it. I’m not sure if that’s a common thing at Medieval England but if it is then the chances of winning and taking home the top prize is much higher because if you didn’t performed well in jousting then you can always come back and do better in archery or in melee fighting. Of course, performing well on all three events will greatly increase your chances of winning.
So, if you want to test your skills in Jousting, Archery and Melee Fighting then drop by Medieval England and take on the empires mightiest fighters. Join the group to receive updates and announcements of new tournaments.
