Correct me if I’m wrong but I personally believe that shopping is one of the more popular activities in Second Life. I always encounter people talking about shopping for new hair, new skin, new shoes, new clothes, new homes and other items. Like in one occasion, I met a few people at my place and we had a little chat when suddenly one of them asked the other for a landmark to an avatar shop. Afterwards they all left and went shopping for demo hairs.
Let's Go Shopping
Well, I do a little shopping myself but most of the time I do my shopping for Second Life items online through SLExchange and sometimes in Shop.OnRez. I find shopping for Second Life items through these websites easier and faster because they have an accurate search feature which makes searching for the item you need or want easy.
Unlike, when you are in-world because the in-world search feature is not very good at all. I guess for those who already have a collection of landmarks to various shops and stores, shopping in-world would be much easier but for someone who doesn’t have a collection of shopping landmarks shopping online would be more convenient.
I remember buying my first watch at SLExchange at a very cheap price (I just can’t remember if it was FREE or not)! It was the Club Elite Dance Plus Watch (AFO) -M. It’s a watch and a personal dance animator and there is also a version for women.

Many of the items I bought from there are either FREE or very, very cheap like 1L$ to 100L$ because it’s just so easy to search for stuff to buy, FREE or not.
So, if you can’t find what you want to buy in-world then here is a shopping tip, try searching for it on the web at SLExchange or at Shop.OnRez. If you are worried about the quality of items being sold, don’t because even those so called top or elite creators in Second Life also sell their items online through these websites.
