Medevil? I guess it’s supposed to be Medieval England because the latter is the name of the place although the sim’s name is Medevil England. Anyway, Medevil or Medieval England it doesn’t really matter, what matter is that it’s a region under RPG Empires in Second Life.
Medieval England is ruled by Enrich Halasy (former Emperor of Rome) together with her partner PhillipaKate Beresford. Currently, both them are away tending to some RL (real life) matters but that didn’t stop the activities and events in Medieval England.
Last week, after the I LOVE M.E. Tournament, I went around and explored the sim to get a better look. I had explored it before but that was when the sim was not yet opened to everyone and it has changed a lot since then.
My personal tour of Medieval England started at the Wharf. This is were the landing point of the sim is located. Everyone who will visit Medieval England will land here. The Wharf is lined with shops that sells various medieval items like swords, shields, armors, gowns, costumes, outfits, etc. from various creators. If you are looking to buy something that has a medieval theme then drop by Medieval England anytime and shop around the Wharf.
The other side of the Wharf is also lined with Shop Spaces. By the way, the shops are not just a simple 8 prim stall. They’re nicely textured Village Stores.
Located at both sides of the sim are two Taverns. One of the taverns is much bigger than the other one but the smaller tavern looks more peaceful than the bigger tavern. This is where the men and women of Medieval England spend their time after a hard day of work. Singing, drinking and sharing tales of adventures and conquests.
Medieval England also has many residential houses but I’m just not sure if they’re all for rent because most that I saw doesn’t have a rental box near it. The styles of each house are different. Some are castle like, others are like cottages and some are your traditional medieval village house. This will give you some choices but of course the prices will also be different. If you are looking for a home in a medieval themed sim then why not take a look at the ones at Medieval England.
Of course, the whole setting will not be complete without a tournament ground. In Medieval England, a large area of the sim is reserved just for that. The tournament ground in Medieval England has a Jousting Field, an Archery Range and an Arena. All these areas are used during tournaments.
I’ve tried fighting in an Arena and I’m quite familiar with Archery but Jousting, well, that I haven’t tried. I’d love to try it but to participate a fighter must have a horse and a lance. The lance is not much of a problem because there are cheap ones. The real problem is the horse because they’re kinda expensive. LOL!
Anyway, they give out big prizes here at Medieval England. In their last tournament, the top winner took home 4,000L$ and goodies from a sponsor. So, if you are good at fighting then head on over at Medieval England to show off your fighting skills.
On my way to the castle I decided to take the back route which is just behind the archery range. There you’ll also find a waterfall that adds a nice touch to the place. The back route to the castle is not just an ordinary route. It is also a mini park where you can hang-out with your friends or partner in Second Life.
The castle is on top of a hill and there is a winding path that leads to its entrance. At a distance, the castle is a wonderful site to see but its majestic when viewed up close. Balls and other social events are held here.
The King and Queen of Medieval England did a really nice job in putting all of these together. Shops for your shopping, tournament grounds and events for your entertainment, homes for you to live in and places where you can just take some time off and relax.
