Before Anything Else, Read!

So, I started Second Life RPG which is a new site which will try to list and feature the many Roleplay and Combat sims in Second Life. Well, I may not be able to feature and list them all but I’ll definitely try.

List and feature your Sim at Second Life RPG

Now, one of the feature of the site is the RPG Sims Directory. Clearly, just by the title of the section alone one will know that it’s a directory of RPG Sims in Second Life and if that’s not yet too obvious the description says “A comprehensive directory of RPG sims in Second Life.” Remember, the keyword here is SIMS.

A few days ago someone with the name ShadowSteps Foorman listed a service offer in the RPG Sims Directory. He was offering RP service of somekind but obviously it’s not an RPG Sim. Clearly, he did not read the description nor did he try to understand what the section was for. Of course, I deleted his entry for obvious reasons.

The next day, I received a not so nice e-mail from him for deleting his listing. In his e-mail he claims he knows a lot about RP and even has a site full of information about it. He even called me close-minded and my action was tasteless. Duh!

For someone who knows a lot about RP he forgot one important skill needed for good RP and that is reading and hopefully understanding. If he had only read the title of the section which is RPG Sims Directory then he might have understood that it’s a directory for RPG Sims but unfortunately he didn’t and obviously he just want to spam his listing in it even if it’s unrelated.

If he had posted a Roleplay/Combay Sim then there was no reason to remove or delete it for that’s what the directory is for but no he posted a service offer. Now, I’m close minded and tasteless for removing his listing? Woohoo! I forgot, he offers male escort services. See how far that is from a Sim?

I’m confused, is my English that hard to understand? I do make mistakes and a lot of typos here and there but still I feel that my English is still comprehensible even with the errors. RPG Sims Directory. I can read that all day and the meaning is quite clear to me. So, why would someone list a service offer in a directory specially made for Sims? Either they didn’t understand it or they just want to spam. Nah, I will not call them stupid because that’s too demeaning.

Anyway, if you know or own a RPG or RP/Combat Sim in Second Life and looking to get some exposure for it then by all means list it at Second Life RPG. For other RP related offers, you can list them in the site’s Classified section.
