Today, Medieval England (Medevil England sim) held their very first Horseback Tournament. As the title implies, the tournament is a mounted one and it’s not jousting. It is like your everyday melee fights but only this time the fighters are mounted on their horses. Special melee weapons were used in this tournament. These weapons use a mounted pose instead of a ready stance.

The King of England, Enrich Halasy, hosted the tournament!

The tournament started at 1:00PM SLT¹ and was hosted by the King of England himself, Enrich Halasy. There were about 20 to 30 people there but I think only a few participated since I keep seeing the same fighters fight over and over again. I guess most just came to watch and support their favorite fighters.

The fights happened in the Jousting Arena and it was pretty nice to watch eventhough I was lagging badly. The lag I was experiencing was not the sims fault, it’s my connection. I have a very terrible internet connection but what else can I expect from a cheap internet connection? LOL! At least, it’s fast enough to even load Second Life and this blog.

There are some familiar names in the audience and participants like Ronin McGinnis, Shay Daviau, Sashay Segall and Gandy Kidd. There are still others whose names are familiar to me but that’s just it, I only know their names. I’m not a very chatty person so I haven’t really talked to most of them. The ones I mentioned are those I had a chance to talk with at least once.

I think the tournament lasted more than an hour but don’t ask me who won because I didn’t stay that long. I just took a few snapshots and left without them even knowing I was there. In fact, I’ll be doing more of that from now on. Just come in, take enough snapshots to blog about and leave. Why? Well, I’m not really part of their RP and since I don’t fight anymore, I’m really just an outside observer to them.

Seriously, I feel so poor when I'm around this people. Just look at them. Wearing fashionable and expensive items. Some of those even cost around 10 to 50 USD.

Another thing is that all of them are dressed so elegant and all I have is my Power Ranger armor. I had to spend like thousands of linden dollars just to make my avatar look better but then I realized why do I have to listen to what other people say about my self-made armor and my avatar. If it looks cheap and amateurish then so be it. They don’t do anything for me and I don’t owe them any favors so I don’t have to listen to them. I’ll wear what I like since I’m just an observer and if they don’t like it then just ban me!

mikeD Streeter did give me a nice outfit from RFyre but I’m not comfortable wearing it. It’s not that I don’t appreciate it because I do appreciate it a lot. It’s just that, I like to wear things I personally bought or made even if it’s ugly and unappealing to some!

Anyway, the King of Medieval England (Medevil England sim) is a very nice person. I’ve known Enrich Halasy since his days as Emperor of the Roman Empire sim. His Medevil England sim is a very nice looking sim with nice people running it and I strongly invite everyone to come and visit it.
