I was at Medieval England today to buy a weapon specially made for horseback fighting but things happened and I was only able to buy the weapon at the end of the scheduled horseback tournament. Anyway, before the tournament started I had a spar with a guy named Halo. He was very eager to fight. In fact, he was too eager that he suddenly attacked and killed me while I was waiting for my DCS2 update. Oh well, maybe that’s his character’s RP. He he he! A knight named conor told him that he should wait until his opponent is ready before attacking but it’s no biggie because I just wanted to know if I can still fight and I found out that I need a lot of practice still. LOL!

For the horseback fighting tournament, unfortunately, there wasn’t many participants. I guess most fighters find horseback fighting tournaments expensive because one of the main requirement is having a horse and we all know how expensive horses are in Second Life. The King said that there are AKK horses that cost only 1,000L$ but still that’s a lot of money for the average fighter. Not to mention that a newbie fighter won’t be able to afford that at all.

Another requirement is, you must have a weapon that will work while riding a horse. It’s not really a problem because there are weapons like that sold at Medieval England for only 400L$ but if you add that to the cost of the horse then your total expense would be 1,400L$ which is already expensive. With that amount, you can already buy a very good weapon or even a very good armor (armor has no effect in combat anyway). I think this is what scaring fighters away but what If I tell everyone that this amount can be reduced to only 500L$?

The key to reducing the cost to 500L$ is the horse. If you are going to buy an AKK or even a Hoof It horse then your expense will be high but if you buy a horse that only cost 100L$ then it will not be so high, right? Now where can you buy such a horse? Well, the horse is a creation of Victoria Pfeffer and she has a few of them like the Arabella and Arabella 2, each cost only 100L$.

Now, there is only one problem. The horse when worn will attach itself on your right hand. The sword also attaches on the right hand so you’ll have to re-attach the horse somewhere else like the pelvis. The position of the horse will look messed up but that can be easily fix by adjusting the horse’s position on your body. (See Snapshots above and below)

It will take a little work since you’ll have to re-attach and adjust the horse but if you want to compete and save a few linden dollars then that’s how it’s going to be done. Hey, if I was able to make it work then I’m sure you can too. I haven’t tested it in actual combat but I’ve tested it by myself and it’s working. I will try it in the next Horseback Fighting Tournament in Medieval England!
