I was at my place working on a new Candy Cane Rod when I received a rare group notice from The Roman Empire group. The notice was for a Free For All Tournament at the Roman Colosseum. What got me interested in this Free For All was that participating fighters or gladiators will fight inside a Maze. It was the first time I’ve heard of such thing so I went to [The Roman Empire] sim to check it out.
Before leaving for The Roman Empire sim, I activated my *ROMAN GLADIATOR* tag and wore my Gladiator outfit. In the Colosseum, a huge maze that covers the entire ground of the Arena greeted me. Some Romans were already there but I avoided them by climbing up on the third level of the Colosseum.
The fight was hosted by a Princess of Rome (sorry, I forgot her name) with a few participating fighters. I think there were only four or five participants and the sword that was used was the Gladius to keep the fight fair for everyone. Originally, the fight was for Gladiators only but was later changed into an Open fight where anyone can join when only a few fighters entered. Unfortunately, the change to an Open fight didn’t bring in more fighters.
I didn’t stay very long. In fact, I only stayed to watch the first round of Maze Free For All Fight but even if I only watched one round I can say that fighting in such a confined area would be difficult. Movements would be difficult and fighters won’t have a clear sight of their opponents in the start of each round because they’ll have to look for them.
Anyway, fighting in a Maze is somewhat interesting. It adds a different twist to the common Free For All fights. I would love to see how it will turnout if there were 20 or more fighters inside the Maze.
