A few days ago I had a chance to visit the City of Rome and I didn’t go to Italy to get there. LOL! The City of Rome is a new region under RPG Empire and it is connected to [The Roman Empire] region. If the information I got are correct then the City of Rome was once called Medevil England (Medieval England). I guess the Romans have finally conquered it for good and made it their own.
The entrance to the City of Rome clearly states that the region is strictly Role Play only. I don’t know how strict will this rule be enforced (coz’ I see a lot of Romans speak in OOC all the time) but as a visitor to the City of Rome and [The Roman Empire] it is best to follow the rules to avoid problems discomfort and drama!
Just like The Roman Empire, the entrance to the City of Rome is lined up with shops and vendor spaces. The shops look much better and has this certain feel into them. Maybe because they don’t look like shops at all. They look more like residential buildings with vendors inside but, then again, I do not have the slightest idea what a real life Roman shop looks like anyway.
Moving forward, instead of having a Colosseum the City of Rome has an arena for Chariot Races. This is definitely a new addition to The Roman Empire and I’ll definitely come and watch once they get these chariot races going. I haven’t receive any notice of such an event, yet, but I am sure that they will have one. My only concern about it is the amount of lag such an event will bring. Personally, it’s very hard for me to enjoy any kind of events when the place is lagging terribly, I guess all we can do is make the best of it.
All around the City of Rome are residential houses. Most are placed on elevated land masses around the city but I think I saw some on the flat surface as well. The houses are nice and have a good view of the city. If you would like to live in one of these houses then please contact the Emperor or the Empress of Rome, mikeD Streeter or aaminah Shikami, for additional information.
The City of Rome may not be an exact replica or recreation of the ancient city but it does have some similarities to it. Besides, doing an exact replica will prove costly because it will take a lot more than just one sim to recreate it. Nonetheless, the City of Rome is here to provide you with entertainment, shopping, a place to live in and most importantly a touch of that Ancient Roman experience.
For more information about shop spaces, residential spaces, events, role play positions and others please contact the Emperor of Rome, mikeD Streeter, either by an IM (instant message) or by dropping him a notecard.
