Not very long ago, the creator of sionChickens (sion Zaius) decided to no longer support v10 sionChickens and released an update to v11 sionChicken food. The new v11 sionChicken foods will no longer update v10 sionChickens to v11 which will render all un-updated v10 sionChickens and sionEggs worthless. Fortunately, many sionChicken farmers and breeders were able to stock or store a few of the earlier released v11 sionChicken foods. If you have any of these earlier sionChicken food then you will still be able to update your v10 sionChickens to v11.

How would I know if I have the earlier released v11 sionChicken food?
The easiest way to know if your v11 sionChicken food is an earlier release is by checking the content of the sionChicken food bowl. Here is how:
- rez your v11 sionChicken food bowl on the ground
- right-click on it and choose Edit
- on the Edit box choose and click on the Content tab
- in the content tab, look for an object named sionChicken
If your v11 sionChicken food bowl has this object named sionChicken then it is an earlier release v11 sionChicken food bowl and you can use it to update v10 sionChickens to v11. Newer v11 sionChicken food bowls don’t have this sionChicken object inside them.

Do this to all your v11 sionChicken foods and once checked place them in a separate folder in your inventory. Separate the earlier released v11 sionChicken foods from the newer v11 sionChicken foods in your inventory by putting them in separately named folders. Use the earlier v11 sionChicken foods to update your v10 sionChickens to v11. Take them back into your inventory after the update to save them for later use.
How to update your newly updated v10 sionChickens to v11 Lagless?
Using an earlier released v11 sionChicken food will update your v10 sionChicken to v11 but not to v11 Lagless. To update your newly updated sionChickens to v11 Lagless you will need to boxed them up using v11 sionChicken transport boxes. Here is how:
- buy a set of v11 sionChicken transport boxes from any v11 sionChicken vendors in-world (you can find a v11 sionChicken vendor at 3 Stars and a Sun)
- unpack the box into your inventory
- at your chicken farm, rez a v11 sionChicken transport box near your newly updated sionChicken to box it
- once the sionChicken is boxed, touched the box to release it back in-world
- the newly released sionChicken would now be updated to v11 Lagless
I have tested this by updating a couple of v10 sionChickens to v11, then from v11 to v11 Lagless and it worked. So, if you still have some of these earlier v11 sionChicken food bowls then I suggest that you save them. Who knows, you might find a very nice colored v10 sionChicken egg which you may want to update in the future to v11.
By the way, if you need to buy some v11 sionChicken or even v12 sionChicken supply for your sionChickens then just drop by 3 Stars and a Sun anytime. I have placed sionChicken vendors for both v11 and v12 sionChickens.
