I just received a very sad group notice from Higbee Protagonist of VPRS ( Virtual Parks and Recreation Service ). انا فقط حزينة جدا تلقى اشعارا من مجموعة من vprs Higbee النصير (الافتراضيه الحدائق والترفيه والخدمات). It seems that they have decided to close down VPRS. ويبدو انها قررت اغلاق vprs. It’s sad because VPRS is like one of the few remaining pioneers in Second Life . انه حزين لان مثل vprs هو واحد من رواد القليلة المتبقية في الحياة الثانية.

After much deliberation, experimentation, and reorganization, the Virtual Parks and Recreation Service is closing its doors. وبعد الكثير من المداولات ، والتجريب ، واعادة التنظيم ، والحدائق العامة والترفيه الافتراضيه الخدمة اغلاق ابوابها.

What exactly does this mean? بالضبط ماذا يعني هذا؟

• Most groups and extraneous websites will also be shut down. ومعظم مجموعات خارجة عن المواقع كما سيتم اغلاقها. Flickr will remain active because it has a wonderful usage base that serves a different purpose entirely. فلكر سوف تظل نشطة لانها راءعه استخدام قاعدة أن يخدم غرض مختلف تماما.
• I will be personally taking over and holding the land in Salerio in order to keep my promise to its former owner. وسوف اكون شخصيا واتخاذ اجراء اكثر من في الارض salerio في بلادي من اجل الحفاظ على الوعد الى المالك السابق.
• No support will be offered in any way for kiosks, registrations, or listings, which includes the final location listing. لم يتم تقديم الدعم باي شكل من الاشكال عن الاكشاك ، والتسجيلات ، او القوائم ، التي تضم الموقع النهائي قائمة. Only a disclaimer will remain with the listing that makes certain that readers know these locations may not exist when they attempt to visit them. فقط تنويه سيبقى مع القائمة التي تجعل بعض القراء يعرف ان هذه المواقع قد لا توجد عند محاولة لزيارتهم.
• Anyone who attempted to register with the VPRS on or after February 18th may not be on the final location listing. كل من حاول ان تسجل نفسها لدى vprs على بعد شباط / فبراير الثامن عشر أو قد لا يكون على الموقع النهائي قائمة. The VPRS, originally called the SLPRS, was founded shortly after SecondLife went live in 2004. وقد vprs ، في الأصل تسمى slprs ، تأسس بعد فترة وجيزة من ذهب secondlife تعيش فى عام 2004. My original goals for creating the organization were two-fold. بلدي الاهداف الاصليه لانشاء المنظمه كانت ذات شقين. Most important was to let everyone know about the wonderful greenspaces that were available to enjoy throughout SecondLife, and almost as important was to encourage the creation of these types of spaces. الاكثر اهمية هو ان يعرف الجميع واسمحوا الرائع greenspaces التي كانت متاحة في جميع انحاء secondlife التمتع ، وتقريبا كما كان من المهم للتشجيع على اقامة هذه الانواع من الاماكن.

In the early days of SecondLife, there were very few of us: few users and few places to go. في الايام الاولى من secondlife ، هناك عدد قليل جدا منا : قلة من المستخدمين والذهاب الى أماكن قليلة. This was a big time for the VPRS because I was personally very active in the community at large and was intent on helping people believe that the artistic side of SL would not go away once commercialization truly set in. I would even say that this was the VPRS’s “heyday” if you will. هذا هو الوقت كبيرة لvprs لانني كنت شخصيا نشطة جدا في المجتمع ككل ، ومصممة على مساعدة الناس على الاعتقاد بأن الجانب الفني من المدعوه س. ل لن تزول بمجرد تسويق مجموعة حقا فيها ، بل اقول ان هذا هو Vprs "عنفوان" اذا صح التعبير.

As time went on and first life became a larger priority for me, the VPRS narrowed down to the location listing that it is so well known for. مع الوقت والاولى على الحياة أصبحت أكبر ذات الاولوية بالنسبة لي ، vprs تضييق نطاق قائمة الى مكان حتى أنه معروف للجميع. It went through many stages as the years went by always struggling to survive but remaining nonetheless and expanding where and when it could. وتابع مراحل عديدة خلال السنوات كما ذهب به دائما تكافح من اجل البقاء على قيد الحياة ولكنها تبقى مع ذلك توسيع وأين ومتى يمكن.

Over the last year a large push was made with the organization in attempt to either have it finally succeed or to have proof that it should shut down. خلال العام الماضي دفعة كبيرة تم مع المنظمه في محاولة لأنها اما ان تكون وأخيرا تنجح او ان يكون دليلا على انه ينبغي ان تغلق. During this year, the organization revitalized rather well but still lacked the community that it needed to have at its core. وخلال هذا العام ، بدلا من اعادة تنشيط منظمة بشكل جيد ولكن المجتمع لا يزال يفتقر الى انها تحتاج الى ان يكون لها في صميمه. Since I was ultimately making all of the final decisions, this became problematic very quickly, so further changes were made by acquiring staff and automating as many systems as possible. منذ ان كنت في نهاية المطاف من اتخاذ جميع القرارات النهائية ، وأصبحت هذه الاشكاليه بسرعة كبيرة ، حتى اجراء مزيد من التغييرات وأدلى كل من الموظفين والتشغيل الآلي لاكتساب أكبر عدد ممكن من النظم.

Over the last 4 months, the organization has been hanging by the thread of its location listing, which has been somewhat successful until the release of the new Search created for SecondLife. أكثر من 4 أشهر الماضية ، قامت المنظمه معلق من الخيط موقعها القائمة ، التي كانت ناجحه الى حد ما حتى الافراج عن البحث الجديد انشئ لsecondlife.

The new search utilizes similar tools as Google in order to determine the validity of a search response and offers all of the same options as the VPRS location listing. البحث الجديد يستخدم الادوات المماثله كما في صور لتحديد مدى صحه بحث والاستجابة لها ويقدم كل الخيارات من نفس الموقع وكما vprs القائمة. Additionally, the new search has no rules. وبالاضافة الى ذلك ، بحث جديد ليس له قواعد. This may seem like a small thing, but in a world where one of the largest benefits is not having rules, this made the location listing even more problematic. وهذا قد يبدو مثل شيء صغير ، ولكنه في عالم اصبحت فيه واحدة من اكبر الفوائد ليست لها قواعد ، وهذا يجعل الموقع قائمة اكثر صعوبة.

The best thing for a society like SecondLife, and Real Life for that matter is having options. وافضل شيء بالنسبة للمجتمع مثل secondlife ، والحياة الحقيقية لهذا الامر هو وجود خيارات. There are many groups and organizations that do an excellent job of supporting Greenspaces in both 1st and 2nd life. وهناك العديد من الجماعات والمنظمات بعمل ممتاز للدعم greenspaces في كل من الحياة الاولى والثانية. There are a number of groups and magazines that continually review or visit locations to help them to receive the marketing and traffic they need. وهناك عدد من المجموعات والمجلات أن نراجع باستمرار او زيارة المواقع لمساعدتهم على الحصول على والتسويق وحركة المرور التي يحتاجون اليها. There are also several groups that are truly making efforts to push the fold of what Virtual Nature can achieve. ويوجد ايضا العديد من الجماعات التي هي حقا بذل الجهود لدفع أضعاف ما يمكن أن يحقق الطابع الافتراضي.

The VPRS has at long last become obsolete, so we have decided that it is time to shut down. وقد vprs بعد طول انتظار قد عفا عليها الزمن ، حتى اننا قررنا ان الوقت قد حان لاغلاق. I say “we” because I have spoken to a number of people throughout this process in order to find a successor for the organization, and we have explored all of the alternative options available to the organization. اقول "نحن" لانني تحدثت الى عدد من الناس فى جميع انحاء هذه العملية من اجل التوصل الى الخلف بالنسبة للمنظمة ، وعلينا استكشاف جميع الخيارات البديله المتاحة للمنظمة.

Of course there is a part of me that is sad. طبعا هناك جزء من لي انه امر محزن. It is one of very few groups that have existed since SL went live in ‘04. وهو واحد من عدد قليل جدا من الجماعات التي كانت موجودة منذ المدعوه س. ل ذهب في العيش في '04. However there is also a part of me that is happy to see that the community at large, the SL program itself, and the other organizations coming into or being created within SL have done such a fine job of growing and supporting these same individuals. ولكن هناك أيضا جزء مني ان يسعد ان نرى ان المجتمع ككل ، المدعوه س. ل البرنامج في حد ذاته ، وغيرها من المنظمات او تأتي الى خلق اطار المدعوه س. ل فعلت هذه الغرامه من تزايد فرص العمل ودعم هذه نفس الافراد.

I want to personally thank everyone who has helped the VPRS over the years: Anaraxis Romulus, Furious Tigereye, HeadBurro Antfarm , Osprey Therian, Marisa Naheed, Bettina Tizzy, and most importantly Princess Ivory and Bjorlyn Loon, without whom the last year of the organization would not have even been possible. شخصيا اود ان اشكر كل من ساعد على مر السنين vprs : anaraxis رومولوس ، furious tigereye ، headburro antfarm ، طير الشماط therian ، ماريسا naheed ، Bettina اهتياج ، والأهم من العاج والاميره bjorlyn الغواص ، من دون ان السنة الاخيرة للمنظمة لا بل كان من الممكن. I wish I could go through and name everyone that has supported this group and been a part of the organization in some factor over the years, but there are just too many. أتمنى ان يذهب الجميع من خلال الاسم والذي قدم الدعم للفريق وهذا كان جزءا من المنظمه في بعض العوامل على مر السنين ، ولكن هناك عدد كبير جدا فقط.

I’m not a very active member of the group and my only true linkage with the group was through their Kiosk contest a few months back but I do I understand what they are trying to do. انا لست عضو نشط جدا للفريق وبلدي الحقيقي الوحيد الربط مع الفريق خلال مسابقة كشك قبل بضعة اشهر لكنني افهم ما يحاولون القيام به.
