Today I downloaded and installed OnRez’s version of Second Life’s viewer and I must say that it has a very nice interface. Here are some screenshots of OnRez’s Second Life Viewer.
The release coincides with CSI:New York’s episode about a case which will take the investigators into the virtual world of Second Life. You can get a copy of OnRez’s Second Life Viewer at viewer.onrez.com.
That’s not all, you can also visit a virtual version of CSI:New York (slurl), which was created for the episode, in-world and you can also create new accounts through Electric Sheep’s CSI:NY Second Life website.
Oh, you can visit CSI:New York (slurl) in-world using the regular Second Life viewer, too. Using OnRez’s Second Life Viewer is not a requirement. It is optional but I suggest that you try OnRez’s Viewer. You might like it too.

I too downloaded the client from onrez. It is missing some features but it looks good with nice rounded graphics.
