I regularly login to my Second Life account to check my place at Scaramanga which I rent from Richard Palace of Palace Lands. Today, I logged in only to find my place GONE!

Yes, my place was gone, 3 Stars and a Sun was nowhere to be seen! I was greeted by a long list of messages telling me that my objects were returned to me. I was very surprised at what happened. Today, I spent a few minutes at The Roman Empire region in Second Life to take a few video clips of the on-going Gladiator Fights. I used the video clips I took of the fight to create a simple music video which I then submitted to Koinup as an entry to their 1st. Second Life Music Videos Contest.

A few weeks back the great Emperor of Rome issued a challenge. Anyone who dared to fight him and win will be rewarded greatly (100L$ to 1,000L$). I was not there to witness it but today the great emperor himself sent me photos of what had transpired. Well, I may not be active in-world but I still receive updates of what’s happening at The Roman Empire region through group notices which are regularly sent by those in power. One of the more interesting notice I received lately from The Roman Empire group is about the formation of the Roman Senate. Any citizen of The Roman Empire region can run for a seat in the Senate (at least that is how I understand it). By the way, this is a paid position. Senators will receive a weekly stipend of 250L$.

I just found out about this from mikeD Streeter, owner of The Roman Empire and The Spartan Empire sims and AnimateMe! It seems that he just launched a new program or service called Second Life Rewards. So, what is it? Well, Second Life Rewards is a loyalty program for Second Life which offers discounts from partner stores to card carrying members. To make it simple, if you are a member of Second Life Rewards and you buy something from a Second Life Rewards partner store while carrying your Second Life Rewards membership card then you’ll get some discount from your purchase.
