I regularly login to my Second Life account to check my place at Scaramanga which I rent from Richard Palace of Palace Lands. Today, I logged in only to find my place GONE!

Yes, my place was gone, 3 Stars and a Sun was nowhere to be seen! I was greeted by a long list of messages telling me that my objects were returned to me. I was very surprised at what happened. This week, I had the chance to visit mikeD Streeter’s latest Role Play region/sim in Second Life, the land called Samurai Japan. Obviously, Samurai Japan is a region greatly inspired by ancient Japan, although, I’m not particularly sure what time period was it actually based on but I can safely say that it’s based on a  very old Japan. You know, that period in time when Samurais and Ninjas exist, where people live and die by the sword and where code and honor is above everything else.

“Oh my!”, was the reaction I gave myself when I found out how much 1A Bot cost. All the while I thought Thoys SL Bot was already expensive at 2,000L$ but now, compared to 1A Bot, it’s very cheap.

I first found out about the cost of 1A Bot from another resident who inquired about Thoys SL Bot. According to this resident, he was very disappointed with 1A Bot because he was having trouble camping with it and he wanted to know if Thoys SL Bot was much easier to use. Today, I spent a few minutes at The Roman Empire region in Second Life to take a few video clips of the on-going Gladiator Fights. I used the video clips I took of the fight to create a simple music video which I then submitted to Koinup as an entry to their 1st. Second Life Music Videos Contest.

Well, the video featured the Gladiators of Rome and the on-going Gladiator Fights. I also took clips of the Cage Match but the cage didn’t fully rezzed which caused it to look really terrible so I didn’t put that in the video. [...continue reading Gladiators Of Rome]

They are using what is called a 3D Webcam to interact and control an avatar inside the virtual world of Second Life.
