Living A Second Life

For The Newbie In Japan

Remember my post about Samurai Japan? You know, mikeD Streeter’s newest RP (Role Play) Sim which is also part of what is now known in Second Life as the RPG Empire. Well, the good Emperor of Samurai Japan kinda gave me a cool title which is “Scribe of Japan”. LOL!

Anyway, I’ve recently created a few items that might help those new to Samurai Japan get started. The items I created are not Super Duper Mega Complex like those you’ll see from the more active members of the empire but I think they’re good enough to get newbies to the region started. 100,000L$ Per Month

Whoa! That’s like $350 USD per month! The contest is titled “Second Life and the Public Good: A Community Challenge” by the USC Network Culture Project.

The USC Network Culture Project invites the residents of Second Life to imagine new ways that virtual worlds such as Second Life can be used to make a contribution to the public good.

We are currently accepting proposals from groups, organizations, or individuals for projects that show how Second Life can enhance, develop, or sustain the public good. The best submissions will be selected based on how well they demonstrate the significance of virtual worlds for making an impact on society or culture.

Up to three finalists will be selected by community vote. The finalists will be provided with a $100,000L per month building stipend (and land, if required) for three months to execute their proposal. The projects will be showcased in Second Life at the State of Play conference to be held in Chicago, October 2008.

Exploring Second Life

New to RPG Empires is the opening of its own Orientation Island. This island is all about helping newcomers understand what RPG Empires is all about. Information about the current empires can be obtained here and there are friendly volunteers who will assist and help anyone who needs it. So, don’t hesitate to ask them any questions about RPG Empires. [...continue reading RPG Empires in Second Life]

Living A Second Life

Gift from a God!

One definition of God is, “the creator of all things or the creator of the Universe”. In Second Life, I guess we can call someone who created his own universe (multiple regions) a God, right? Well, at least that’s how I would like to term it in this post.

A few days ago, the creator and owner of the following regions; The Roman Empire, The Spartan Empire and Samurai Japan (there are others more); mikeD Streeter, sent me an unexpected message. In his message, he was asking me if I still need land. It was very unexpected indeed. [...continue reading Gift from a God!]
