Just got an e-mail announcement from mikeD Streeter about the closing of RPG Empire’s website. It seems that mikeD hasn’t been online much since he sold off his sims. Well, I haven’t logged on RPG Empire’s website for a very long time now and so I haven’t heard any news about any of the remaining RPG Empire sims. I didn’t even know that they were sold off until today.

RPG Empire Closing
The sims that made up RPG Empire were a favorite of mine back when I was still covering their activities. Seeing them close one by one is kinda sad and, now, the last of its remains, which is the site, will close as well. (more…)

I’ve been making custom fishing rods for my 7Seas Fishing Area for months now and only this week was I able to finally make a Roman and Spartan themed custom fishing rods. I made these two rods as a tribute to RPG Empires two very popular RP and Combat sims, [The Roman Empire] and [The Spartan Empire]. It’s also my simple way of thanking mikeD Streeter for letting me live on his Animate Me Poseballs sim for FREE!

These rods also act like a promotional/marketing tool for both The Roman and Spartan Empire sims because, when worn, it invites the wearer to visit both sims. Both rods also display the SLURL or address to both sims which the wearer can click if they choose to visit. By the way, these two custom fishing rods are designed to be used with 7Seas Invisible or Phantom Pro rod. (more…)

A few days ago, the Empress of Rome sent a notice throughout the empire inviting both Romans and Non-Romans to participate in a Poster/Photo Contest. The winner of the contest will receive 5,000L$ and the runner-up will get 1,000L$. The theme of the photos to be used or entered in the contest must be related to Rome. I wanted to enter the contest but, unfortunately, I was busy with my real life work and had no time to prepare or even login to Second Life.

Nope! This is not an entry. The entries are those behind my avatar! LOL!
Submission of entries are now close and the poster/photos are now on display near the Colosseum. The winner will be decided by voting for your favorite poster/photo entries. To vote for your favorite poster/photo entries you must pay it at least 20L$. I don’t think there is a limit to the number of votes you can cast. My guess is, if you have the money to burn then you can vote and vote and vote for your favorite or favorites. (more…)

A few days ago I had a chance to visit the City of Rome and I didn’t go to Italy to get there. LOL! The City of Rome is a new region under RPG Empire and it is connected to [The Roman Empire] region. If the information I got are correct then the City of Rome was once called Medevil England (Medieval England). I guess the Romans have finally conquered it for good and made it their own.

The Emperor of The Roman Empire
The entrance to the City of Rome clearly states that the region is strictly Role Play only. I don’t know how strict will this rule be enforced (coz’ I see a lot of Romans speak in OOC all the time) but as a visitor to the City of Rome and [The Roman Empire] it is best to follow the rules to avoid problems discomfort and drama! Gandy Kidd of [The Roman Empire] sent out a notice for a “Defend the Hill Top” tournament. It sounded really cool, right? Of course it is, unfortunately, it was just a Free For All tournament with an obstacle in the center of the arena floor. Actually, if you remove the pyramid like hill then it’ll just be an ordinary Free For All tournament because the hill has no real purpose. The only thing that was different was that a few fighters will start fighting on top of the hill while the others fight on the arena floor. Why not just let everyone fight on the floor?

Defend the Hill Top
The way I see a “Defend the Hill Top” tournament is like this. All fighters will start on the arena floor. When the command to fight is given, they will all run and climb up the hill while fighting there way up. Once they are up there, they will have to fight off all the other fighters who are climbing up and trying to get up there as well. In other words, the fighters or fighter who gets up there first will have to “Defend the Hill Top”, for a set amount of time, to win. The amount of time he needs to stay on top can be 30 seconds to a minute or to whatever the tournament master wants it to be. (more…)
