Apple recently released an update to Quicktime which is Quicktime 7.3.1 for windows and other systems. This release addresses security issues found in Quicktime.
Remember that Second Life uses Quicktime to stream videos in-world and with this release we can all again safely watch streaming videos in Second Life but, still, always be careful and trust only content from known or trustworthy providers.
