Did you know that Linden Labs is experimenting on a new way to control your Second Life avatar? ¿Sabía usted que Linden Labs está experimentando en una nueva forma de controlar su avatar Second Life? They are using what is called a 3D Webcam to interact and control an avatar inside the virtual world of Second Life. Ellos están usando lo que se denomina una cámara en 3D para interactuar y controlar un avatar dentro del mundo virtual de Second Life. Below is a YouTube video that demonstrates basic movement without the use of a mouse or a keyboard to control an avatar using this technology. I find this technology interesting and weird at the same time. Me parece interesante esta tecnología y extraño al mismo tiempo. Interesting because it’s something new and if it becomes available, I’m sure a lot of people will have fun using it. Interesante porque es algo nuevo y si ésta está disponible, estoy seguro de que mucha gente se ha divertido usarla. Weird because you’ll be like standing infront of a camera doing all these various movements just to control an avatar. Weird porque le gusta de pie frente de una cámara haciendo todos estos diversos movimientos para el control de un avatar. Honestly, I find using a mouse and a keyboard much simpler and easier to do. Sinceramente, me parece usar un ratón y un teclado mucho más simple y más fácil de hacer.
Anyway, this project is still in development and this story, Linden Lab demos hands-free interface for Second Life , will tell you more about it. De todos modos, este proyecto está todavía en desarrollo y esta historia, Linden Lab demos de manos libres para interfaz de Second Life, le dirá más sobre el mismo.
If I remember correctly, I think the Japanese are also researching Hands Free movement and control in Second Life using brain signals . Si no recuerdo mal, creo que los japoneses están investigando también Manos Libre circulación y el control en Second Life utilizando las señales del cerebro.

Perhaps the Lindens might put their time to better use by ironing out the current crop of bugs in the new release client. Tal vez el Lindens podría poner su tiempo a una mejor utilización de planchado a cabo la actual cosecha de errores en la nueva versión del cliente.

They like to busy themselves with other things but you must admit using that technology, if it ever becomes available, will kinda make you look a little bit weird and silly. Les gusta ocupado con otras cosas, pero usted debe admitir el uso que la tecnología, si alguna vez se disponga, algo que usted mira un poco raro y tonto. LOL!

It looks really cool, and can serve as a more “active” alternative to keyboard and mice. Se ve realmente bien, y puede servir como una más "activa" alternativa al teclado y ratones. Who knows, maybe this could really enhance the Second Life experience? Que sabe, tal vez esto podría mejorar realmente la experiencia Second Life?

Yeah, it looks kinda cool and it kinda makes you feel you are in there but I tried imagining myself doing those actions and it looks really weird specially if someone suddenly saw you like that. Sí, parece algo fresco y algo que te hace sentir que estás allí pero he intentado imaginar a mí mismo haciendo esas acciones y parece realmente extraño especialmente si alguien de repente vio que te gusta. LOL!

perhaps this will have future ramifications for physically challenged individuals to be able to interact more easily within the virtual world. tal vez esto va a tener futuras consecuencias para las personas físicas para poder interactuar con mayor facilidad en el mundo virtual.
at least, one can hope that such uses as these would be forthcoming from projects such as this one. al menos, uno puede esperar que esos usos ya que estos serían próximo de proyectos como éste.
