Yes! The mighty Roman Empire still exist! Oui! Le puissant Empire romain existent encore! Well, not in real life but in Second Life. Eh bien, pas dans la vraie vie, mais dans Second Life. I first chanced upon The Roman Empire while looking for new camping locations. J'ai d'abord par hasard sur L'Empire romain alors que la recherche de nouveaux emplacements de camping. When I was there, the owner of the sim mikeD Streeter invited me to join The Roman Empire group which I did. Quand j'étais là-bas, le propriétaire de la carte SIM mikeD Streeter m'a invité à rejoindre The Roman Empire groupe ce que j'ai fait. From then on, I regularly receive updates and group notices from the group about events and Gladiator Fights in the Coliseum. Dès lors, je reçois régulièrement des mises à jour et de groupe avis du groupe sur les événements et Gladiator dans la lutte contre le Colisée. I’ve always wanted to come and watch the fights but I just can’t find the time but today was different. I received a noticed for a 6:00pm Gladiator Fight at the Coliseum and looking at my clock it was almost 6:00pm. J'ai reçu un remarqué pour une 6:00 pm Gladiator à la lutte contre le Colisée et en regardant mon réveil il était presque 6:00 pm. Since, I wasn’t doing anything important, I just logged in to check my rental boxes, I opened the notecard and teleported to The Roman Empire. Depuis, je ne faisait pas quelque chose d'important, je viens de connecter pour vérifier mes boîtes de location, j'ai ouvert la notecard et téléporté à l'Empire romain.

From the landing point, I walked a few more steps to the coliseum. Du point d'atterrissage, je suis un peu plus de mesures pour le Colisée. Getting there is easy, just follow the signs or you can use your map and place a red beacon over the huge round thing on the map. Comment y arriver est facile, il suffit de suivre les indications ou vous pouvez utiliser votre carte et placer un phare rouge sur l'énorme tour chose sur la carte. That round thing is the Coliseum. Cette série est le Colisée. Once the beacon is set then just walk to it. Une fois que la balise est alors juste à marcher.

At the Coliseum, I selected a spot and sat there. Au Colisée, j'ai choisi une place et s'assit. The fights were just about to begin when I got there and as the Gladiators prepare for battle, I took some snapshots. Les combats étaient sur le point de commencer quand je suis arrivé là-bas et que les gladiateurs se préparer à la bataille, j'ai pris quelques photos. I wasn’t able to get all their names, in fact, I can’t remember any of their names. Je n'ai pas été en mesure d'obtenir tous leurs noms, en fait, je ne me souviens pas de n'importe lequel de leurs noms. LOL! But I do remember how they look and some of them wore amazing Roman/Gladiator/Warrior costumes. Mais je me souviens comment ils cherchent et certains d'entre eux portaient étonnant romaine / Gladiator / Warrior costumes. My favorites were the Black Armored Roman Gladiator, the one with the Roman General Tag, the Female Gladiator in Lingerie and the Big Bad Demon Gladiator. Mes favoris sont le Black Armored Roman Gladiator, celui avec le général romain Tag, la Femme Gladiator en lingerie et le Big Bad Demon Gladiator.

The first part of the fight was a Tournament Style One on One matches where fighters must win to advance until only two are left to fight in the Final Round. La première partie de la lutte a été un tournoi sur un mode un des matches où les combattants doivent gagner à l'avance jusqu'à ce que seulement deux sont laissées à combattre dans la ronde finale. If I am not mistaken (correct me if I’m wrong), Blackwell Huet won this part of the fights. Si je ne me trompe pas (me corriger si je me trompe), Blackwell Huet a remporté cette partie du combat. The next part was a Last Man Standing Match where all the participants will fight amongst themselves until only one is left standing. La prochaine partie est un Last Man Standing match où tous les participants prêts à se battre entre eux jusqu'à ce que l'on est debout à gauche. This part was funny because you’ll see gladiators running for their lives like little girls (no offense meant, LOL). Cette partie est drôle parce que vous verrez les gladiateurs de fonctionnement pour leur vie comme des petites filles (pas de délit signifiait, LOL).

Of course, the fights won’t be complete without the attendance of the mighty Emperor of Rome, mikeD Streeter, and her Venus of Rome, PhillipaKate Beresford. Bien sûr, le combat ne sera pas complet sans la présence du puissant empereur de Rome, mikeD Streeter, et sa Vénus de Rome, PhillipaKate Beresford. They watched the fights with high interest and the Gladiators honor them before each match! Ils ont assisté à la lutte avec un grand intérêt et gladiateurs honneur avant chaque match!

With the help of the Venus of Rome, I was able to meet the winner of the fights, Blackwell Huet. Avec l'aide de la Vénus de Rome, j'ai pu rencontrer le vainqueur du combat, Blackwell Huet. I believe he was the Black Armored Roman Gladiator which was really scary looking but without his armor and helmet he doesn’t look scary at all. Je crois qu'il était le noir Armored Gladiator romain qui était vraiment effrayant, mais la recherche sans son armure et le casque, il ne semble pas peur du tout. It was nice talking with him. Il était agréable de parler avec lui.

It was time well spent. Il est temps dépensé à bon escient. The fights were interesting and it further showed that Second Life can be anything you want it to be. Les combats sont intéressantes et il a en outre montré que Second Life peut être ce que vous voulez qu'il soit. That it is not all about virtual sex and online shopping for virtual items. For those who still doesn’t quite get what Second Life is, Second Life is a platform where your imagination can flourish and where your dreams can, will and might come true. Pour ceux qui encore ne pas obtenir ce que Second Life est, Second Life est une plate-forme où votre imagination peut s'épanouir et où vos rêves peuvent, de la volonté et pourraient se réaliser.
