Did you know that Linden Labs is experimenting on a new way to control your Second Life avatar? Sapevate che Linden Labs sta sperimentando su un nuovo modo per controllare il tuo avatar Second Life? They are using what is called a 3D Webcam to interact and control an avatar inside the virtual world of Second Life. Non stanno usando ciò che è chiamato un 3D Webcam di interagire e controllare un avatar all'interno del mondo virtuale di Second Life. Below is a YouTube video that demonstrates basic movement without the use of a mouse or a keyboard to control an avatar using this technology. I find this technology interesting and weird at the same time. Trovo questa tecnologia interessante e strana allo stesso tempo. Interesting because it’s something new and if it becomes available, I’m sure a lot of people will have fun using it. Weird because you’ll be like standing infront of a camera doing all these various movements just to control an avatar. Strano perché ti verrà infront in piedi come una macchina fotografica di fare tutte queste vari movimenti solo per controllare un avatar. Honestly, I find using a mouse and a keyboard much simpler and easier to do. Onestamente, ritengo che utilizza un mouse e una tastiera molto più semplice e più facile da fare.
Anyway, this project is still in development and this story, Linden Lab demos hands-free interface for Second Life , will tell you more about it. In ogni modo, questo progetto è ancora in fase di sviluppo e di questa storia, Linden Lab demo mani libere per la seconda interfaccia di vita, vi dirà di più al riguardo.
If I remember correctly, I think the Japanese are also researching Hands Free movement and control in Second Life using brain signals . Se ricordo bene, credo che i giapponesi sono anche la ricerca di Mani Libera circolazione e di controllo in Second Life utilizzando segnali del cervello.

Perhaps the Lindens might put their time to better use by ironing out the current crop of bugs in the new release client. Forse il Lindens potrebbe mettere il loro tempo ad un migliore uso di appianare le attuali colture di bug nella nuova versione del client.
Though I must admit this looks pretty exciting, wonder how much the 3D webcam is … Anche se devo ammettere sembra piuttosto appassionante, chiedo quanto la webcam è 3D…

They like to busy themselves with other things but you must admit using that technology, if it ever becomes available, will kinda make you look a little bit weird and silly. Come essi stessi a occupato con altre cose, ma si deve ammettere che la tecnologia utilizzando, se mai si rendano disponibili, kinda farvi guardare un po 'strano e sciocco. LOL!

It looks really cool, and can serve as a more “active” alternative to keyboard and mice. Sembra davvero cool, e può servire come più "attivo" alternativa alla tastiera e mouse. Who knows, maybe this could really enhance the Second Life experience? Che sa, forse questo potrebbe davvero migliorare la seconda esperienza di vita?

Yeah, it looks kinda cool and it kinda makes you feel you are in there but I tried imagining myself doing those actions and it looks really weird specially if someone suddenly saw you like that. Yeah, il suo aspetto fresco e kinda kinda che ti fa sentire che stai lì, ma ho provato a immaginare me fare queste azioni e sembra davvero strano specialmente se qualcuno ha visto improvvisamente che ti piace. LOL!

perhaps this will have future ramifications for physically challenged individuals to be able to interact more easily within the virtual world. forse ciò avrà ripercussioni per il futuro disabili ai singoli di essere in grado di interagire più facilmente all'interno del mondo virtuale.
at least, one can hope that such uses as these would be forthcoming from projects such as this one. almeno, si può sperare che tali utilizzazioni come questi sarebbe imminente da progetti come questo.
