1A Bot Cost 12,000L$ o_O

“Oh my!”, was the reaction I gave myself when I found out how much 1A Bot cost. All the while I thought Thoys SL Bot was already expensive at 2,000L$ but now, compared to 1A Bot, it’s very cheap.

I first found out about the cost of 1A Bot from another resident who inquired about Thoys SL Bot. According to this resident, he was very disappointed with 1A Bot because he was having trouble camping with it and he wanted to know if Thoys SL Bot was much easier to use. By the way, 1A Bot is also known as PikkuBot.

Well, personally, I did find Thoys SL Bot easy to use but I can’t say the same thing with 1A Bot since I haven’t used it. So, I decided to download the latest version of PikkuBot and got myself a 5 days trial at Shop OnRez (which I wasn’t able to use). Unfortunately, I uninstalled it as fast as I installed it.

You see, I found it not very user friendly and the instructions on how to get started is kinda long. A non-technical person might get lost along the way.

I prefer programs with easy setup. You know, something like download, install and login which can be found with SLeek, Second Messenger and METAbolt (I’ll feature METAbolt next) which by the way are all FREE!

Thoys SL Bot isn’t free (cost 2,000L$) but it’s also easy to setup and use. You pay the vendor, register your bot using the vendor, download and install the program, login and that’s it. You control your bot using your master or main account which can be set to any avatar. One thing I really like about Thoys SL Bot is that it doesn’t use too much CPU and memory and the thing I like about the free ones is that they’re FREE (they also have some cool features specially SLeek, METAbolt and
Second Messenger
).

This is just my honest opinion. If you are going to ask me if I would spend 12,000L$ for a bot then my answer would be NO because it’s too much specially when there are FREE ones out there! Would I spend 2,000L$ for a bot, yes, because I already did with Thoys SL Bot and I’m very much satisfied with it.

Now, here’s the thing. You don’t have to spend anything at all. Keep your Linden Dollars with you and just use any of the FREE clients like SLeek, Second Messenger and METAbolt.

If you have tried all of the FREE ones and you weren’t satisfied with them or if you just want to try out the paid ones for whatever reason you might have then by all means try them.  1A Bot is available at Shop OnRez and Thoys SL Bot is available at 3 Stars and a Sun (and in other locations in Second Life).
