Since I added Ad Space Rentals as a means to support 3 Stars and a Sun, I needed traffic (quality traffic) to attract businesses and service providers in Second Life to rent an Ad Space. I’ve thought of a lot of ideas but this particular idea holds more ground than the others. The idea is, as an alternative to buying my items they can camp for it and get the item FREE!

I am now testing it with my Greeting Cards. I priced each card at 10L$ but they can get it FREE by camping for it. I’ve placed a camping prize chair that contains the greeting cards just beside the vendor. If they like a particular card then they can either pay for it or they can camp for it. In essence, they did not get the card for FREE. In exchange for the card they gave me some genuine traffic for that day. It’s really a win, win situation and this is possible because my items are very low priced.

I’ve also updated the descriptions for the cards in SLExchange to show the alternative to buying and I will do the same with SLBoutique and SLSmart. I’m really excited about this experiment and can’t wait to see how it turns out.
