These past few days, members and merchants of SLExchange had argued and debated with each other. The subject of the debate was Anshe Chung’s 10Linden brand and the sudden appearance of a new category in SLExchange exclusively for her 10Linden brand. The category was immediately removed by the admins after getting so much heat from the SLExchange community.

Many members, creators and merchants expressed their views regarding this new move by Anshe Chung. A few went a little too far with their arguments and reasoning but the discussion remained informative. My understanding of the issue is, if successful, Anshe Chung’s 10Linden brand will drive many content creators out of business. I don’t know about those big time content creators but I’m sure small time creators like me will be severely affected.

Anyway, to add some humor to the issue I created a new brand of my own and it’s called “The Otso, 8L$ and below”. Basically, all items or products under this new brand of mine will be priced at 8L$ and below.

Here is the other thing, any Second Life content creator (designer, builder, scripter, texturer, sculptor, etc) not related to Anshe Chung and her 10Linden brand can use “The Otso” brand. So, if you are a creator and you have some products or items you want to sell cheap then by all means you can use “The Otso” brand but just make sure it is priced “8L$ and below”. Ooops, I forgot to add that only use the brand with products or items you made. Never use it to brand BIABs and Freebies. You can download a much bigger version of “The Otso” logo here.
