Today, I joined the King of Medieval England and his court in their raid of Scythia. I was in Medieval England to attend Tightline Kidd’s Fighting Class but I think I missed it. I then went home only to return back to Medieval England upon receiving a group notice addressed to the Knights, Squires and Paiges of the land. I’m not a Knight, I’m not a Squire and I’m also not a Paige in Medieval England (RP-wise) but I still went back there to see what the notice was about.

Medieval England raided Scythia
At Medieval England, I learned that the King is organizing a raiding party and that he plans to raid the land of Scythia. I’ve never been to Scythia so I decided to tag along. The was able to form a small party which includes Tightline Kidd, oldpainless Dagger, Craig Stallion and one or two others (sorry I kinda forgot your names). mikeD Streeter asked me to contact the current King of Sparta about some changes that they did in The Spartan Empire sim. I really didn’t want to bother anyone so I just went there myself. I know, I said I won’t return to The Spartan Empire but this one was different, mikeD requested it.

Rulers of Sparta
When I got there, I wasn’t sure what I was looking for so I just wandered around until I found it, the Spartan Theater and the Spartan Court. Between the two is a small where a series of stone figures are lined up. Engraved on these stone figures are the names of The Spartan Empire’s former Kings and Queens. I was surprsed to learn that The Spartan Empire had that many rulers already in less than a year. King Dacalen and Queen Jackie’s names are there too. A few days ago Medieval England celebrated their first Harvest Faire (I think it was their first) and I was their to enjoy the festivities. The Harvest Faire was a two day all day event with games, prizes and barrels of ale for everyone to enjoy.

Me @Medieval England
I was more of a spectator than a participant on the first day of the event. I spent most of my day just watching the games and taking snapshots of the activities. Unfortunately, some of my snapshots did not get uploaded. I was uploading my snapshots by sending them by e-mail to Flickr. Flickr then crossposted them to my Blogger blog but Flickr was not able to save a few of them. It must be because of lag or something. [...continue reading Fun at the Harvest Faire]

Today (or was it yesterday), I met Johnnytreadlightly Nightfire. He is the owner of JTL Designs and creator of many medieval items like swords, armors, structures and more. In fact, I have one of his weapons, the Askold Warhammer (Horseback), and I’m saving some lindens to buy a standard version of the Hammer.

I found him sitting at the Wharf where we had a brief chat. He also showed me his newly created Horse On A Stick which is currently FREE at Medieval England. The horse is quite funny and it reminded me of my kids playing horsy with our broom or whatever stick they can find. If you want one then come down to Medieval England. It’s located at the Wharf just beside the big ship. [...continue reading Horse On A Stick]
