Did you know that Linden Labs is experimenting on a new way to control your Second Life avatar? Sabia que Linden Labs está a experimentar uma nova maneira de controlar o seu avatar Second Life? They are using what is called a 3D Webcam to interact and control an avatar inside the virtual world of Second Life. Eles estão usando o que se chama uma Webcam 3D para interagir e controlar um avatar dentro do mundo virtual Second Life. Below is a YouTube video that demonstrates basic movement without the use of a mouse or a keyboard to control an avatar using this technology. I find this technology interesting and weird at the same time. Acho que esta tecnologia interessante e estranha ao mesmo tempo. Interesting because it’s something new and if it becomes available, I’m sure a lot of people will have fun using it. Interessante porque é algo novo, e se ela se torna disponível, eu tenho certeza muita gente vai se divertir usando-o. Weird because you’ll be like standing infront of a camera doing all these various movements just to control an avatar. Estranho, porque você vai ser como uma câmera de pé infront de fazer todas essas diferentes movimentos apenas para controlar um avatar. Honestly, I find using a mouse and a keyboard much simpler and easier to do. Honestamente, eu acho usando um mouse e um teclado muito mais simples e mais fácil de fazer.
Anyway, this project is still in development and this story, Linden Lab demos hands-free interface for Second Life , will tell you more about it. De qualquer forma, esse projeto ainda está em desenvolvimento e esta história, Linden Lab demos mãos-livres interface de Second Life, dir-lhe-á mais sobre ele.
If I remember correctly, I think the Japanese are also researching Hands Free movement and control in Second Life using brain signals . Se bem me lembro, penso que os japoneses também estão pesquisando Hands livre circulação e de controlo no Second Life utilizando sinais cerebrais.

Perhaps the Lindens might put their time to better use by ironing out the current crop of bugs in the new release client. Talvez o Lindens poderá colocar seu tempo para a melhor utilização dos actuais eliminar as culturas de bugs no novo lançamento cliente.

They like to busy themselves with other things but you must admit using that technology, if it ever becomes available, will kinda make you look a little bit weird and silly. Eles gostam de si próprios ocupado com outras coisas, mas é preciso admitir que utilizam tecnologia, se alguma vez se torna disponível, kinda vai fazer você olhar um pouco estranho e idiota. LOL!

It looks really cool, and can serve as a more “active” alternative to keyboard and mice. Parece muito legal, e pode servir como mais um "activo" alternativa ao teclado e camundongos. Who knows, maybe this could really enhance the Second Life experience? Que sabe, talvez isso poderia realmente reforçar a Segunda Vida experiência?

Yeah, it looks kinda cool and it kinda makes you feel you are in there but I tried imagining myself doing those actions and it looks really weird specially if someone suddenly saw you like that. Sim, ela está kinda cool e é kinda faz você se sentir que você está lá em mim mas eu tentei imaginar fazendo essas acções e que parece realmente estranho especialmente se alguém quiser que viu repentinamente. LOL!

perhaps this will have future ramifications for physically challenged individuals to be able to interact more easily within the virtual world. Talvez isso terá futuro ramificações para indivíduos fisicamente desafiou de ser capazes de interagir mais facilmente dentro do mundo virtual.
at least, one can hope that such uses as these would be forthcoming from projects such as this one. pelo menos, uma esperança de que tal possa utiliza como essas seriam próximas de projetos como este.
