An avatar named John Trihey sent me a message about his new mall called JB’s Super Mall which is located at the Hodu region in Second Life . Last February 5, 2008 there was a skin theft protest at a mall in Scapoli. Último dia 5 de fevereiro de 2008, houve um roubo pele em um shopping center em protesto Scapoli. Out of curiousity, I went to take a look at an actual skin theft protest. Out of curiousity, fui dar uma olhada em um verdadeiro roubo pele protesto. An avatar named Thora Charron was there with a huge sign above her head. Um avatar chamado Thora Charron foi lá com um enorme sinal acima sua cabeça. The sign had the words “stop stealing my work” written on it. O sinal tinha as palavras "parar de roubar o meu trabalho" escrito por ele. A few other personalities were also there but what caught my attention were two avatars, a male and female, wearing a plain white texture as their skin with the words “I’d rather go naked than wear stolen skins”. I was going through the Second Life Blogosphere when a particular issue caught my attention. Eu estava indo através do Second Life Blogs uma questão particular quando peguei minha atenção. That issue is about Stolen Skins (or textures). Essa questão é sobre Stolen Skins (ou texturas). Texture (skins are just textures) theft has always been a big problem in Second Life and many designers, specially the popular ones, have had their textures stolen and sold at very low prices. Textura (peles são apenas texturas) roubo tem sido sempre um grande problema na Segunda Vida e de muitos designers, especialmente os mais populares, tiveram suas texturas roubado e vendido a preços muito baixos. This is very unfair for the designers because creating an original texture, specially an original skin, is a very difficult process. Isso é muito injusto para os designers, porque cria uma textura original, especialmente uma pele original, é um processo muito difícil. I know how hard it is because I tried creating my own skin once. Sei como é duro porque eu tentei criar minha própria pele uma vez. SLASH! Slash! is currently holding a 50,000L$ Model Contest. é actualmente titular de um Modelo de US $ 50.000 L Contest. I learned about it from mikaela Yifu who contacted me about it. The place was a little bit laggy but after waiting a while the immediate area finally rezzed and information about the contest was everywhere.
