Well, Linden Labs recently released a new First Look Viewer (FLV) named Dazzle and sad to say I was not Dazzled at all. Pois bem, Linden Labs recentemente lançado um novo Primeiro Olhe Viewer (FLV) nomeado encandeamento triste e eu não estava a dizer a todos os Deslumbrados. The Dazzle FLV introduced a new color scheme for the viewer’s GUI and although it is an improvement to the regular viewer’s GUI but please it was far from Dazzling. O encandeamento FLV introduziu um novo esquema de cores para o telespectador da GUI e que, embora seja uma melhoria para o telespectador regular da GUI, mas por favor que era muito longe de fantásticos. I admit that I like it but it will take more than that to Dazzle me, in fact, OnRez’s Second Life viewer has a more Dazzling GUI, at least for me it is. Admito que me agrada, mas ela vai demorar mais do que a deslumbrar-me, de facto, OnRez's Second Life espectador tem uma interface gráfica mais fantásticos, pelo menos para mim é.

Last February 5, 2008 there was a skin theft protest at a mall in Scapoli. Último dia 5 de fevereiro de 2008, houve um roubo pele em um shopping center em protesto Scapoli. Out of curiousity, I went to take a look at an actual skin theft protest. Out of curiousity, fui dar uma olhada em um verdadeiro roubo pele protesto. An avatar named Thora Charron was there with a huge sign above her head. Um avatar chamado Thora Charron foi lá com um enorme sinal acima sua cabeça. The sign had the words “stop stealing my work” written on it. O sinal tinha as palavras "parar de roubar meu trabalho" escrito por ele. A few other personalities were also there but what caught my attention were two avatars, a male and female, wearing a plain white texture as their skin with the words “I’d rather go naked than wear stolen skins”. Algumas outras personalidades também foram capturados, mas o que lá a minha atenção foram dois avatares, uma masculina e feminina, vestindo uma textura lisa branca como a sua pele com as palavras "Eu prefiro ir nu do que usar peles roubado". I was going through the Second Life Blogosphere when a particular issue caught my attention. Eu estava indo através do Second Life Blogs quando uma questão particular chamaram a minha atenção. That issue is about Stolen Skins (or textures). Essa questão é sobre Stolen Skins (ou texturas). Texture (skins are just textures) theft has always been a big problem in Second Life and many designers, specially the popular ones, have had their textures stolen and sold at very low prices. Textura (peles são apenas texturas) roubo tem sido sempre um grande problema na Segunda Vida e de muitos designers, especialmente os mais populares, tiveram suas texturas roubado e vendido a preços muito baixos. This is very unfair for the designers because creating an original texture, specially an original skin, is a very difficult process. Isso é muito injusto para os designers, porque cria uma textura original, especialmente uma pele original, é um processo muito difícil. I know how hard it is because I tried creating my own skin once. Sei como é duro porque eu tentei criar minha própria pele uma vez. That is why I understand why Skins in Second Life, specially the good ones, cost so much.
