You can’t make everyone happy!!! It’s very true in online gaming too. Players will always find ways to make their gaming life miserable. An example can be found at Khan Online Philippines Official Board. Members kept complaining about the publisher’s seemingly non-action towards speed hack users but when the publisher started to suspend accounts because of speed hack use, members began questioning the process. Claiming there were those that were banned for no apparent reason. DUH!?!
Speed hack use became very rampant in Khan Online and many members, mostly forum members, starts questionning the publisher’s apparent non-action towards this so called exploit. As far as I know the publisher is already aware of the problem and was already looking for solutions together with the developer of the game, Mirinae, but for the meantime they enforced a stricter policy on Third Party Program use. A process on how to report suspected speed hack users was also posted in their boards.
A week later a list of characters that were caught using speed hack was posted. You think everyone was happy? Hell NO! Those who were banned began ranting and questionning the process. Many thought that just because they were reported they’ll be banned automatically. Errr??? The tide has turned, the felons are now asking the GMs to provide evidence that they did use speed hack. For me, this kind of attempt is futile. Why? Because if you are truly innocent then the best thing to do is write a petition and send it to petitions@netgames.com.ph . Ranting in the board will result to nothing and you can even get your account permanently banned both in the forum and in-game.
The petition system was created so that those that were banned or suspended can appeal their case. Once a petition is filed, your case will undergo an investigation. If the investigation favors you then you’ll get your suspension lifted but if not then that’s it, the decision is final.
“Formal Appeal - Cases wherein players would like to formally appeal any ruling made by netGames in accordance with a violation and the corresponding netGames policy or penalty that applies, or submit a letter of apology as required for some penalties to be lifted.”
If you were banned or suspended and you feel that you didn’t do anything wrong then I strongly suggest you visit Netgames’ Petition and Appeals page.
Ranting and challenging the GMs will only make you look more guilty!
