Looking to earn more L$? With gambling gone, many locations that offer easy L$ earning decreased in numbers. I’m not a gambler but let’s face it, many Second Life residents relied on gambling as a source of in-world income and when that was banned, many businesses suffered and many camping locations disappeared.Fortunately for us, there are other ways of earning L$ like joining “Best In Theme” contests which is very common with clubs in Second Life. An example of a club that offers such a contest is L’s SkyClub but what’s special about L’s SkyClub is that they give away as much as 2,000L$ as contest prize to their “Best In Theme” contests. That’s a lot of L$!!!

Best In Theme?

A “Best In Theme” contest is like a popularity contest where you must get people to vote for you. To join a “Best In Theme” contest you must, of course, be in Theme. For example, if the Theme is “Best In Yellow” then you must be wearing something yellow. To win, you must get the highest number of votes and you can do this by teleporting friends or by just asking people in the club to vote for you. It takes a little work and it won’t guarantee you a WIN every time but it’s FUN.

Back to L’s SkyClub

Now, at L’s Skyclub, they conduct this contest 3 times a week at 3:00pm SLT ((SLT means Second Life Time)).

• Wednesdays, total contest prize is 800L$
• Fridays, total contest prize is 2,000L$
• Saturdays, total contest prize is 2,000L$

Giving away a total of 4,800L$ each week! You can make a career out of joining contests if you wanted to by joining all the contests you can find in Second Life!

I think the key to winning in these contests is by having many friends whom you can teleport and ask to vote for you or you can be friendly to everyone in the club and hope they like you enough to vote for you! Anyway, it’s fun and that’s why we are here to have fun, meet new people and possibly earn some L$ too.
