Second Life Bots or simply SLBots

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Bots in Second Life are third party programs used to access the server to perform and automate various tasks like camping, group joining, greeting and even copying/cloning. They are based on LibSecondLife’s code, which is Open Source, and are very lightweight since they’re text only. Unlike, those bots found in mmorpgs and other online games, bots in Second Life are allowed by Linden Labs.

Bots have many useful uses but they also have some not so good use like copying other people’s objects and textures. In this post I will list all the Second Life Bots that I know and provide a little info about them. (more…)

Stuck At Fort Ruina

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Fort Ruina is a location in Nevareth which can only be accessed by characters who are level 65 and up. To get into Fort Ruina you must use the Warp Center located at Port Lux.

A lot of players train their characters in Fort Ruina and during my training there I’ve seen a few characters who seem to got themselves stuck just below the stairs leading to the Core Alchemist. It’s weird because I’ve ran up and down that stairs a hundred times but I’ve never got my character stuck there. (more…)

Thoy’s SL (Second Life) Bot Works!!!

Friday, July 27th, 2007

Again, I got very curious about this little tool and decided to shell out 2000 L$ for it but before I registered a bot and bought it I kinda pestered Thoys first with lots of questions. He was kind enough to answer them all. I also requested to be a reseller of SL Bot and he immediately sent me a vendor to put in my shop.Getting an SL Bot is very easy. Here is how:

  1. Find an SL Bot Vendor like the one in my shop at 3 Stars and a Sun.
  2. Make sure you are not in your main character. So, you must login into an alt and don’t forget to give it some money too.
  3. Touch the vendor and choose Register, wait a few seconds.
  4. It will ask you who the master of the bot will be. Just follow the instruction and you will be fine.
  5. After assigning a master, pay the vendor and your alt is registered as a bot.
  6. Next download the program or tool here (Thoys’ SL Bot 0.615).
  7. Install the program and login your bot’s SL account.

A list of commands and other instructions can be acquired from the vendor. If you need further assistance then just IM Thoys Pan and he will gladly help you out just like he helped me!

If you are interested in getting a bot then just drop by my shop, 3 Stars and a Sun!
