LOL! It’s a camping chair found on a platform above Dreyfus. You sit on a piece of log and it will pay you 3L$ every 20 minutes. I don’t know why the hover text says “Roast Marshmallows! Left Click For Pole” when there’s no fire to roast the marshmallows on.

The place isn’t crowded yet so it’ll give you some time to earn some linden dollars. With so many sim owners and land owners now using BOTs to camp on their lands, the rate of 3L$/20 minutes isn’t bad. As campers, we must take what we can and be thankful for it. LOL!

Hello fellow campers! Here are 2 more camping locations for your camping fix, err, need. LOL!

Join the Band @ OSRAM Island

They have a camping band setup and it has a rate of 2L$ per 10 minutes. There are 2 locations, just look at the map to find the other one. It is easy to spot, just look for the area where there are many people. LOL!

They have a line of campers here and because there was no available spot I was not able to see what the rate was.

I also noticed that many 3L$/10 min. spots are dropping to 2L$/10 min.

I did a little exploring today and I found a few camping locations for all of us campers to exploit, errrr, visit. LOL!

The camping device is a bench and the camping rate is 2L$ per 15 minutes. There are many benches at the place but I only saw 2 benches that are used for camping.

The camping device used here is a dancing cage and the current camping rate is 2L$ per 10 minutes. The rate is the minimum suggested rate for camping.

Remember Dance Dance Revolution? Those were fun times but Dance Dance Evolution has nothing to do with it. LOL! But they do have one thing in common and that is dancing. Dance Dance Evolution is a camping setup where campers starts dancing at the lowest paying dance pads then moves up in rank every cycle until they reach the highest paying dance pads.

You can find one of this at THE COLLECTIVE. The device pays 3L$ to 9L$ every 10 minutes depending on your dance pad level. The higher you go up, the bigger pay you’ll get. Current pay limit on this device is 50L$.

You’ll see all sorts of avatars camping here and if they get hungry then they can always take a bite on that dancing hamburger. LOL!

While trying to figure out how to delete some invisible grass from the land I’m renting I noticed a group of avatars in Scaramanga. Thinking that there must be some kind of event or something, I went there to check it out. When I got there I saw maybe 4 or 5 avatars and there was no event, the avatars were just camping.

There were at least 5 camping chairs which pay 1L$ or 2L$ per 10 minutes but wait one of the chair was very special because it has the biggest payout rate anywhere in Second Life. You won’t find this payout rate anywhere. One of the chair was paying 0L$ per 10 minutes. Whoa!!!

With a rate like that there’s no need to camp anywhere else and you’ll be filthy rich in no time at all. LOL! Unfortunately, the opportunity to milk that camping chair dry is lost because when I checked back today the chair now pays 1L$ per 10 minutes.

With the 0L$/10 minute rate gone, most of the campers were gone too. Only 1 camper stayed, I guess most of the campers that were there where waiting to get a chance at that 0L$ chair but now that it’s gone almost all of them left. LOL!

Seriously, I think that was a bug or the owner might have accidentally set it up to pay nothing but bug or not someone still took a chance and camped on it (see photo) and look he even got paid 2L$. o_O ???

This camping spot was shared by Triges Mayo. He/She said that the owner needs a lot of traffic to the place. I went there to check it out and there were 2 Camping Benches paying campers 3L$ per 10 Minutes. Each camping bench can accommodate 3 campers for a total of 6 campers. Unfortunately, I saw more campers than benches. LOL!

Camping Rules

Follow these or be banned from the Rookery Island Chain.

Island Depot is a high quality decor store-we decided to offer camping to increase our traffic.  We expect that because we pay you one of the highest true camping rates in SL that you WILL behave accordingly. If you can’t you will be banned.

1. No nudity.
2. No vulgarity or crude language.
3. No repeated gestures.  Be considerate of your fellow campers & our  shoppers.
4. No harrassment or threatening or rude behavior.
5. No solicting sex-either to sell or recieve.
6. DO NOT advertise or pass out landmarks to other stores to anyone.
7. No begging or asking for money from anyone.
8. This is a high traffic island-therefore remove all attachments, ao’s (MUST be removed not just turned off to turn of the script), bling, Excite body parts, defense attachments or any other scripted items that may add to the lag.  You do not need any of these items to camp.  Excessive use of scripted attachments may result in your banning.  Again-be considerate of your fellow campers & our shoppers.
9. NO bots OR resit scripts.  Suspected users  will be banned-no questions asked.
10. Absolutely NO WEAPONS. PERIOD. NO NEGOTATION.

Any violations of the above rules will be dealt with by permanant banning.

We want everyone to have fun & socialize if you’d like-but we have to find balance between our shopper’s & camping.  If you won’t help us do that-we will eliminate camping.  We patrol this area constantly but if by chance we are not right here & there is a problem you may IM the below people for immediate help or to answer questions.
