Get Together After Christmas Party

Last night, Mayumi hosted and deejayed a simple Get Together After Christmas Party at my place in Second Life, 3 Stars and a Sun. Mayumi and kula told me about the party and asked if they can hold it at 3 Stars and Sun. I said yes, of course. ^_^ The party was for everyone to get together once again and also to meet new and old friends in Second Life.

Dancing at the Party

The party started without me because I was building a bigger version of my shop and it also ended without me because I fell asleep after eating dinner. Ha ha ha! [...continue reading Get Together After Christmas Party]

First Sale With Metaverse Exchange and SLOpenMarket

I first registered with Metaverse Exchange last April 18, 2009 but only started listing my items last September 13, 2009. Since then I have only sold 2 items and both of these items are for FREE and because they were FREE these two sales don’t count. Yesterday, I have made my first REAL sale with Metaverse Exchange. A resident bought a copy of my Merry Christmas Shirts for 124L$. Deducting Metaverse Exchange’s commission of 5% per sale, I received a net of 118L$. Woohoo!

A few days ago, I also made my first sale with SLOpenMarket. I registered with SLOpenMarket a week or two ago and listed one item. Just a few days ago, this item got sold already which motivated me to list more items. Currently, I have 8 items listed in SLOpenMarket and these are all Christmas related items (Christmas Shirts and Christmas Themed Custom Fishing Rods). New Christmas Themed Custom Fishing Rod for 7Seas

I’ve created a few shirts for Christmas and yesterday I finished creating a new Christmas Themed Custom Fishing Rod for 7Seas. I’m not very good at naming stuff so I just named it *KK* Christmas Tree Fishing Rod. As the name implies, it is mainly decorated with Christmas Trees, Poinsettia Leaves and Christmas Balls. The fishing line is decorated with stars and it plays a Christmas Greeting when casted.

Of course, as with my other Custom Fishing Rods for 7Seas, the base fishing rod is also my creation and I’ve been using the 5th version of my base fishing rod. The 5th version of my base fishing rod has a very different design from my other base fishing rods and it is much shorter too. ^_^ [...continue reading New Christmas Themed Custom Fishing Rod for 7Seas]

Christmas Shirts

Christmas is just around the corner and that is why I created a few Christmas Shirts in Second Life. Shirts are very common in Second Life but I think residents still like them since hundreds of shirts are being created and sold everyday in-world and off-world through online marketplaces like metaLIFE, Apez.biz, Metaverse Exchange and others.

The few Christmas Shirts I created are available in different colors and have different designs. I personally like the red colored Santa Claus shirt and it is the one I’m currently wearing in-world. For my group members, I’ve sent them a black colored Santa Claus shirt via Group Notice. I just hope they like it. ^_^ [...continue reading Christmas Shirts]

Weapons With 10 Meter Ranges

Christmas Tournament

Today, I logged Kabalyero Kidd in to participate in The Roman Empire’s Christmas Tournament. Unfortunately, only four gladiators entered the Tournament and they were:

  • Blackwell Huet
  • Sadie Flanagan
  • Scipio Tuqiri
  • and Kabalyero Kidd (my avatar)

I had the honor of fighting Sir Scipio in the first round and I was lucky enough to emerged the victor of that match. The second and third round wasn’t very fruitful because I have to fight two of Rome’s great gladiators; Sir Blackwell and Lady Sadie. I was defeated in a matter of minutes (or was it just seconds) by both of them.

The final match was between Lady Sadie and Sir Blackwell. It was an intense battle. Lady Sadie put up a great fight but Sir Blackwell emerged the victor. His prize as Champion of the Christmas Tournament was a Gladius.

Sir Enrich immediately called all the gladiators and gave an order to attack Sir Blackwell but it was fruitless. Sir Blackwell defeated us all.

10 Meters? Could be even more!

After the tournament, I spent some time inside the Coliseum waiting for someone to spar with. I love to spar and practice because I want to be a great champion like Sir Blackwell too. LOL! After a while, a warrior came and asked to spar with me. The warrior’s name was Gabe Liotta. His weapon of choice was a spear but it was no ordinary spear for it has a great range and I used my sparring weapon, a Kendo Stick. Our next fight was even weirder because I was like 10 meters away from him (even more I think) and still he was landing massive strikes on me. I ask him to hold because it was really weird but he continued his attacks. He then ran away after the fight.

Later, Sir Enrich explained that my opponent, Gabe Liotta, was using a modified spear and that 10 meter ranges are a common modification. Arrgghhh! No wonder he did not like to be addressed as Sir, he wasn’t worthy of the title. LOL! Not even my legally enhanced Hellfire sword would be a match to a spear with a range of 10 meters (or even more). I have learned from that experience that such weapons exist and not all warriors fight with HONOR. I have added Gabe Liotta to my list of dishonorable warriors in Second Life (the first one) and will never spar with him again even in a level playing field.

Second Life Paskong Pinoy Party (12/18/07, 8:30pm SLT)

As promised, I took paparazzi photos of the party. I teleported in at around 8:30 pm SLT. There were about 20 to 25 avatars there. Some names were familiar but many were not. Isadora Fiddlesticks said hello and I said hello back. After that, while rezzing, I searched for a spot where I can take my photos. LOL! I also need to hurry since we were already having lunch and my wife does not like to keep the food waiting.

I spent like 30 to 45 minutes taking snapshots of the party. I did not use Windlight to take my snaps because I’m quite sure it will lag, big time! After my photo taking session. I logged out and logged back in using a third party Second Life client and I even logged Kabalyero Kidd in.

Returning after lunch, I noticed that Kabalyero Kidd got logged out. I didn’t bother to log him back in and I kept Rom Ireton logged in using the 3rd party client and went back to my Real Life work. I was busy designing a wordpress blog template for a client and just stole some time to drop by and take photos. LOL!

Unfortunately, the client Rom Ireton was using crashed after a few minutes of working in Photoshop. I guess I ran out of memory again. I really need a new computer! LOL!

When I was there taking snapshots, one avatar really took my attention and that was Sylar Boyd who was sporting an ERAP look and he was waving furiously to the crowd. LOL! It was really funny! Standing next to him was the famous Shai Delacroix of Casa Del Shai.

Not too far from Shai Delacroix is the publisher and editor of HodgePodge Magazine and organizer of the event, Isadora Fiddlesticks. If you walk a few steps from them you’ll find Steve Hansen of HOMME Magazine dancing with Colleen Desmoulins.

DJ’ing the event was Tukso Okey and he was wearing a Pinoy Pride T-Shirt. I didn’t catch any of the songs he played because my streaming audio was off to reduce lag. LOL!

It was also very unfortunate that the Sploder didn’t work because the pot was very big. I think the pot was at 2,000L$. I joined twice but the sploder didn’t pay out and if it did then everyone would have gotten some big bucks from it.

Here is an incomplete list of avatars who attended the Paskong Pinoy Party. I compiled the list before I left for lunch. If anyone left or joined afterwards then they’ll won’t be in this list. Besides, I might not have seen everyone there but I’m sure Pinoy Second Life Millionaire Chino Yalin and her partner Cynara Cortes weren’t there.

There will be another party on December 19, 2007 at 6:00 am SLT. Isadora Fiddlestick and her team did a lot of work to make this event a reality. So, if you are a Pinoy living a Second Life then don’t hesitate to attend the event. It will be a great opportunity for you to meet and network with other Pinoy Second Life residents.
