Level Up in Rome and the New Gladiator Village

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Finally, [The Roman Empire] has adapted the Levelling System of DCS2. What this means is, now you’ll be able to level up your characters in The Roman Empire. The higher your character’s level is, the more advantage you’ll get in combat and raids.  Of course, this system will not be implemented in Gladiator Fights to keep it fair I guess.

Standing around to gain experience needed to level up! LOL!

My current level in The Roman Empire is 1 and to increase it I need to gain more experience by winning fights with other players or by just standing around anywhere inside the sim. In fact, the Level System is a great way for the sim to gain huge amounts of traffic. How? Well, a player can just stand around in the sim all day long to gain experience (much like camping. I am thinking of doing that with my alt but I need to buy him a DCS2 meter first. LOL!

Fighting to gain experience is out of the question because I never win. He he he! (more…)

Horseback Fighting

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

I was at Medieval England today to buy a weapon specially made for horseback fighting but things happened and I was only able to buy the weapon at the end of the scheduled horseback tournament. Anyway, before the tournament started I had a spar with a guy named Halo. He was very eager to fight. In fact, he was too eager that he suddenly attacked and killed me while I was waiting for my DCS2 update. Oh well, maybe that’s his character’s RP. He he he! A knight named conor told him that he should wait until his opponent is ready before attacking but it’s no biggie because I just wanted to know if I can still fight and I found out that I need a lot of practice still. LOL!

For the horseback fighting tournament, unfortunately, there wasn’t many participants. I guess most fighters find horseback fighting tournaments expensive because one of the main requirement is having a horse and we all know how expensive horses are in Second Life. The King said that there are AKK horses that cost only 1,000L$ but still that’s a lot of money for the average fighter. Not to mention that a newbie fighter won’t be able to afford that at all. Scotland and Ireland Closed

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

I received a message from mikeD Streeter informing me about the closure of two RPG Empire sims, Scotland Highlands and Ireland RP. He didn’t give me the reasons for the closure of the two sims but in an Open Letter sent to everyone as a Group Notice, he explained why the two sims were closed.

Scotland and Ireland Closed

After reading the letter, I can understand why they were closed but I guess for some the decision won’t be that easy to understand. The points mentioned in the Open Letter are:

  • sims within RPG Empire should have good RP between each other
  • tiers were not renewed

Dark Century’s First Tournament

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Dark Century is finally open to everyone (see Opening Dark Century with a Ball) and their first tournament was a big success with fighters from all over RPG Empire coming to participate. I also came to participate in the tournament but my non-enhanced sword took a lot of time to rezzed and, what’s worst, my DCS2 meter never loaded.

The tournament was a Free For All with five rounds of fighting. The fighter who wins the most rounds will be declared the victor. The rules were simple: No Enhance Weapons, No Powers and No Healing. Healing is allowed only after a round is over. (more…)

I LOVE Medevil England (Medieval England)

Monday, August 11th, 2008

The I LOVE M.E. (Medevil England) was a big success in my book. The number of people who came to participate was very encouraging. I did not participate in any of the games but I did stay and watched all of it. I stayed in a corner so that I won’t get in their way and just used my camera to pan and zoom around.

The I Love M.E. Tournament is made up of 3 games and they are Jousting, Archery and Melee Fighting. Participants will compete in all of the games and the overall winners will be awarded with Linden Dollars and some really cool items from a special sponsor whom I forgot who (sorry about that, bad memory). The Tournament Master assigned was Chandu Dresler and I believe he did a great job at it. (more…)
