Yes, you can make real money in Second Life. How? By earning linden dollars in-world. For those unfamiliar to Second Life, linden dollars, the in-world currency of Second Life, can be exchanged to US Dollars and vice versa and if you earn enough linden dollars in-world you can exchange it to US Dollars and withdraw it through PayPal or have it delivered to you in a check.

How do you earn linden dollars? Well, you can start by reading my post, Easy Ways to Earn Linden Dollars in Second Life. It does not list all the ways of earning linden dollars but it does list the easy ones like:

• camping
• completing offers
• joining survey groups
• joining contests
• getting a job
• becoming a creator

Now, once you have more than enough linden dollars you can venture to other ways of earning them like starting a business, investing in stock exchanges, providing and offering specialized services, etc. These will earn you more linden dollars but they’re not that easy to do and a certain amount of risk is involve in them. Examples are investing in Stock Exchanges and depositing in Virtual Banks because these businesses can, at anytime, close shop and run away with your hard earn linden dollars. (Update: Banks are no longer allowed in Second Life)

Anyway, you can absolutely make money in Second Life. If you wish to learn more ways then I suggest that you join the many business groups in Second Life. Most of these groups are free to join and once you are in, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Many of them are more than willing to help you.

Hello fellow campers! Are we happy campers today? If not then visit the following camping sites. It’s not much but you can add them to your own list of favorite camping spots.

• The Edge Club Contests Rafflebal, Edge (115, 99, 21), when I was there the camping rate was at 4L$/12 minutes
• Life is Life, Tiempo Latino (83, 97, 21), various camping from dance camps to camping benches. Rates are 2L$/10 minutes and 1L$/10 minutes. This is a very big place so just walk around and look for a spot
• CAMPING MASTER “Mairie d’Adobe” , Adobe (145, 152, 11), I haven’t checked this place again but the camping rate was 3L$/10
• Jay’s FREEBIE WORLD!5,000 + 0L$, Melungtse (17, 165, 123), Lava Inside powered camping chairs. Rate was at 2L$/10 minutes
• SECOND LIFESTYLE DISTRICT, Toshimora (230, 47, 73), there are dance camps and workstation camps which pays 1L$/5 minutes

Also, if you want you can bring 3 friends to 3 Stars and a Sun and just hang out there. The Money Ball is giving out 1L$ every 5 minutes but it requires 3 people within it’s 20m range to activate.

I received my very first survey invite from Reperes-Second Life. The survey has a payout of 250L$ to be paid to respondents after the survey period.

The survey was about co-creation with Real Life Brands in Second Life and it only took me a few minutes to complete it. Remember, in answering or responding to surveys make sure that you answer them honestly because if not then you take the risk of not being invited to future surveys or research.
