Someone spammed Slam-X’s url in one of the many groups my avatar is a member of and the brief info that accompanied it said something about earning L$. Well, L$ is the keyword or key symbol so I clicked it and it brought me to Slam-X’s website.I still don’t know what to make of Slam-X. They offer so many things like advertising, linden exchange, banking, etc. but the site kind of resembles “how to make easy money sites”. Anyway, I registered because you’ll get 50L$ if you do. I later found that you won’t get the 50L$ immediately, you’ll have to find one of their ATMs and withdraw it so I just left it there.

I took a quick look at the other pages and went to the forum. I love forums, it’s a great place to market yourself especially if they allow forum signatures. You can place your links and banners there for more exposure. I posted a reply in one of the threads and I noticed that my L$ reserve increased by 1L$. Ooooh! It seems that Slam-X’s forum is a Pay Per Post. I’ve seen many pay per post forums and I’ve registered to some but I hardly post anything because most of the discussions were beyond me or simply did not interest me. What’s different with Slam-X’s pay per post forum is that it’s related to Second Life which is something I can easily relate to since I’m a resident. I think I made a total of 4 posts which earned me 4L$. The more you post, the more you earn but don’t jump for joy because there are rules to follow in posting replies and/or starting a new discussion. Break them and you won’t be credited for your post but instead you’ll receive a warning from the moderators. SPAMMING is definitely not allowed!

Slam-X is still a new venture but you lose nothing for joining (except an e-mail address?) and who knows, you might even earn a few L$ from them.

P.S. I really don’t like how their website looks. A more professional look and feel would be much better. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Something simple yet organized would be nice. Right now the font sizes on each page (except the forum) are all over the place. Big here then small there then much bigger here and then much smaller there. I don’t read pages like that but that’s just me.
