Earn with Profile Picks

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

For those who don’t know, you can earn a few linden dollars by adding locations or places in Second Life to your Profile Picks. These locations or places pay to be added because Second Life’s new in-world search feature uses each resident’s profile picks as a factor in ranking search results. So, the more people or residents add your place or location in their profile picks, the higher you’ll rank in search. Below are a few places that pays residents, either by money or by item, to add them to their Profile Picks.

Second Life

I just found out that Alcatel-Lucent is going to give away 50,000L$ to whomever will win their contest. The contest, they want you to design something or anything that will use the full potential of the upcoming 4G technology. You will have complete freedom (as far as I know) to design and create whatever your imagination can take you.

A sandbox will be provided by Alcatel-Lucent to everyone so you can freely turn your ideas into reality (in this case virtuality).

If you are interested, entries should be submitted by December 1, 2007 to Alcatel-Lucent’s “Next Generation Design” submissions display located on the Main Plaza of Alcatel-Lucent’s SL site.

Alcatel-Lucent Island

If you got the skills then you must definitely join this contest. The 50,000L$ prize is great and it will be a great way to promote yourself and your Second Life business.

Press Release: Alcatel-Lucent launches presence on Second Life® virtual reality site to explore the potential uses of next-generation technologies, including 4G mobile broadband networks
