Nope, the HUD is not a tool for searching Linden Dollars but instead it’s a tool to help residents find Lindens, you know those Godly beings that imagined, created and actually own everything in Second Life.
I found this little tool while browsing through the threads of Second Life’s Official Forum and I feel that this tool will be of great use to those residents who are in constant need of assistance and are always searching for a Linden who is online.
The HUD, when worn, is placed on the top left corner of your Second Life client’s screen and just by simply clicking or touching it, a list of Lindens who where recently found online is displayed (see screenshot below).

We all know how it goes: you’re sitting on your land, when suddenly you’re being attacked by missiles. Or, you’re holding an event, and someone decides it’s time for a mutant Spongebob cube to go flying through. Or your sim crashes. Or you just got orbited. The list is endless.
So what do you do? File an abuse report and wait for a Linden to get back to you? That could take weeks, if not months. By the time your report is handled, it will be far too late to be able to do anything about it.
Emergencies don’t wait for you, sometimes you need assistance NOW.
Don’t wait anymore. Just touch the Find-A-Linden, and let it do the hard work for you. The Find-A-Linden is on the job 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, tracking which Lindens are on and when. When you just the Find-A-Linden HUD, it will give you a list of the most recent Lindens online, so that you can find help when you NEED it, not when it finally reaches the top of a list.
(Warning: While we can tell you which Lindens are on, we can’t guarantee they will respond. You may have to contact multiple Lindens before you find one available to assist.)
