My January 2010 Sales Report

Monday, February 1st, 2010

It’s the end of the month and, once again, it’s time to post how my sales did for the month of January 2010. I’m not doing this to brag about my sales. No, because there is nothing to brag about it. Compared to more popular and bigger merchants and creators, the amount I make each month is laughable. I do this to help me gauge how my sales performed in each alternative online Second Life marketplaces in the period covered.

In XStreetSL, my most popular item for January 2010 was the Close Wooden Fence. I sold 8 copies of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t make much money from it because it was only L$ 48 but it still made me a total of L$ 368. (more…)

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

2009 is over and we are now in 2010 but before I can fully say goodbye to the previous year I still need to accomplish one more thing and that is posting my last month’s sales report, the December Sales Report. After this I can now move on to 2010. LOL! Hope I make more linden dollars this new year. ^^

Compared to November 2009, my overall sales in metaLIFE increased a little while my sales in XstreetSL.com and others dropped. The drop in XstreetSL.com sales is expected since I de-listed a lot of items. From almost 400 items listed in XstreetSL.com, it is now down to only 48 listed items. (more…)

First Sale With Metaverse Exchange and SLOpenMarket

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I first registered with Metaverse Exchange last April 18, 2009 but only started listing my items last September 13, 2009. Since then I have only sold 2 items and both of these items are for FREE and because they were FREE these two sales don’t count. Yesterday, I have made my first REAL sale with Metaverse Exchange. A resident bought a copy of my Merry Christmas Shirts for 124L$. Deducting Metaverse Exchange’s commission of 5% per sale, I received a net of 118L$. Woohoo!

A few days ago, I also made my first sale with SLOpenMarket. I registered with SLOpenMarket a week or two ago and listed one item. Just a few days ago, this item got sold already which motivated me to list more items. Currently, I have 8 items listed in SLOpenMarket and these are all Christmas related items (Christmas Shirts and Christmas Themed Custom Fishing Rods). (more…)

Only 3 Colors for Each Shirt Design Not 754,479

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

One popular way of building an online community is by setting up a forum. Forums allow members to communicate with each other and share ideas and opinions about various issues. One forum which I am a member of is under slapt.me. Slapt.me is an alternative online marketplace for Second Life where merchants in Second Life can list there items for sale for FREE. In their forum, merchants are also allowed to post or announce their newly listed items in the forums Second Life Classifieds under New Products.

Yesterday, I finished creating 4 sets of Christmas Shirts. Each set has a different design and comes in 3 colors. Take note, each set comes in 3 colors ONLY. I listed them in XstreetSL.com, metaLIFE, Metaverse Exchange and slapt.me. After listing I posted an announcement for them in metaLIFE, Metaverse Exchange and slapt.me’s forum. I posted each set in its own thread since each set is different from the other. (more…)
