Saved 35 Prims, 10 Prim metaKIOSK Released

A couple of days ago I was invited by Robbie Kiama of metaLIFE to their metaLIFE Partners group. I believe the group is for helping metaLIFE merchants promote and market their brands in-world and off-world. I accepted the invitation the next time I logged in and, being new to the group, the first thing I checked out was the Notices. There I found what I was looking for, metaKIOSK 2.0.

Updated my metaKIOSK vendors to the new version!

For those unfamiliar to the term metaKIOSK, it is what metaLIFE calls their vendors but I read in their forum that they are thinking of changing it to metaVEND or metaVENDOR. I kinda like metaVEND myself because it is short and it describes the main function of the device which is to vend or sell items to consumers. (more…)

Homes For Turtles

sionChicken farmers and breeders all over the grid are now also getting into Petable Turtle farming, breeding and raising. Many are even dumping their sionChickens in mass sales in order to have room on their farms for Petable Turtles. Why shouldn’t they? The team behind Petable Turtles, not only created a far superior product, they are also active participants in the community they created. They communicate with their customers and deals with everything first-hand which you will not see with sionChicken or sionCorn.

Of course, as more and more turtles are hatched by farmers, breeders and raisers all over. The need for good homes to put them in also increases and this is where I come in. As an enthusiast, I do not have that many turtles. In fact, I only have 6 turtles in-hand which I mostly use to test the pens that I had created and had put up for sale in XstreetSL.com, metaLIFE, slapt.me and at 3 Stars and a Sun in-world. (more…)

Watchout sionChickens, Here Comes Petable Turtles

Raising, farming and/or breeding virtual animals like sionChickens is very interesting for me. It has a certain appeal that attracts me to it but unfortunately I had to give it up because it is too darn expensive. At first, I thought I could make a few linden dollars breeding eggs but it was not the case. In the end, my expenses from the entire operation outweigh any returns I make. It was not profitable enough. In fact, I make more in selling chicken related stuff like coops, pens, farm sets and others. So, I stopped raising sionChickens and just stick with making chicken related items.

Because of the high-cost of raising sionChickens, other creators took the concept of sionChickens and created their own breedable animals. Thus, Petable Turtles was born. Petable is a brand created by two Second Life residents which currently carries one type of pet and that is the Turtle. Additional types of pets are planned in the future. (more…)
