I’ve been fishing with 7Seas for a couple of months now, I think, and I’m really enjoying it. I don’t win that much anymore that’s because I don’t join that many contest anymore as well but I still enjoy fishing a lot.

Fishing Vest
Fishing with 7Seas you’ll be able not only fishes but items as well. Items like fishing shirts, fishing boots, fishing hats, fishing trunks and even fishing earrings. I’ve caught a lot of these items and I’ve put together a fishing outfit from it but something was missing and that something was a fishing vest. (more…)

Today, I was greeted by an item discussion notification from Xstreet SL. I was surprised because I don’t remember registering in any website named Xstreet SL. So, I went to check it out and again I was surprised because the link took me to [SLExchange]. It seems that SLExchange has changed their name to Xstreet SL but that’s not why we are here. LOL!

I've changed this into fish givers. Less prim!
The link opened up the item discussion page for my item listing named *KK* Free Fish and Gear Board and there was a comment from a police wannabe in Second Life named Dannoth Dagger. His comment was, “Idiot, take this crap off SLX now…” Nice, a very un-idiotic comment. I never thought that offering Free 7Seas Fishes and Gears is an idiotic move but I guess for real idiots, it is. I logged in today in Second Life to be greeted by a 7Seas Social Chat group discussion about fishing bots. The exchange of thought was surprising and it seems that most, if not all, are against the use of this fishing bot. I know sooner or later someone would come up with something like a fishing bot since fishing marathons are becoming a very common thing with 7Seas Fishing Game. In fact, I also run a daily fishing marathon at my place. Before, I would start the prize pot at 100L$ but I got broke so I had to changed it to an Open Prize Pot fishing marathon that is, if someone donates to the pot then the participants will get some prize money at the end. Of course, no one hardly donates so most fishers don’t fish at my marathon anymore except when there’s a substantial amount of linden dollars in the prize pot.

Some familiar names are on it like Sal, Skinny and Genevive! LOL! They are very popular indeed!
Back to the fishing bot, after I logged off I immediately searched for this so called fishing bot and eventually I found it at [SLExchange]. The bot is actually an auto-fishing HUD called Fishing Helper HUD. Wow! Fishing Helper? I guess fishing is so hard for some people that they need a HUD to help them fish. Ha ha ha! This particular HUD will not work with the standard Second Life viewer. Nope! It needs an alternative Second Life viewer namely the RestrainedLife SL Viewer. Eversince Linden Labs made the viewer open source alternative viewers have surfaced and the RestrainedLife viewer is one of them. (more…)

I received an instant message from Imogene Nightfire today and she was asking about my Donation Prize Pot which I sell at [SLExchange] for $48. Basically, what it does is it splits or divides the donations received into three. I created it for my fishing area where I take donations from fishers and use it as prize for my fishing marathons.

My Donation Prize Pot can be caught for FREE by fishing for it at my place. I only place it at SLExchange because those who caught it found it useful in their own fishing contest. Even Master DJ Phelan James of Hedonism asked for it. (more…)

The practice of illegally copying or cloning objects in Second Life is a very big issue that should be taken seriously but there are merchants and creators specially in SLExchange who does not believe or do they care about this issue. In one thread, a creator and a merchant posted her case on content theft. She found one of her creations copied prim-per-prim and texture-per-texture and that can only be done by using a third party program. Fortunately, a DMCA complaint was filed with Linden Labs and it looked like the original creator won but what pissed me off is the fact that many argued that it isn’t possible and that CopyBot no longer exist.

An object owned by Korena Starbrook was copied and was being distributed for FREE!
Okay, there might not be anymore CopyBot programs out there but you don’t need a program named CopyBot to copy objects in Second Life. All you need is LibSecondLife’s Test Client and you can get that by downloading and installing LibSecondLife. LibSecondLife is the heart of almost all text based Second Life viewers out there which are commonly known as SL Bots. (more…)
