mikeD Streeter asked me to contact the current King of Sparta about some changes that they did in The Spartan Empire sim. I really didn’t want to bother anyone so I just went there myself. I know, I said I won’t return to [The Spartan Empire] but this one was different, mikeD requested it.
Rulers of Sparta
When I got there, I wasn’t sure what I was looking for so I just wandered around until I found it, the Spartan Theater and the Spartan Court. Between the two is a small where a series of stone figures are lined up. Engraved on these stone figures are the names of The Spartan Empire’s former Kings and Queens. I was surprsed to learn that The Spartan Empire had that many rulers already in less than a year. King Dacalen and Queen Jackie’s names are there too. (more…)

Today I was kinda kicked out of The Spartan Empire arena. Kicked out? LOL! Not exactly, I left voluntarily after someone told me that I should wear period clothing when I’m visiting the arena. I asked if it’s a requirement even for guests and visitors because as far as I know guests and visitors are not required to be in period clothing. The answer I got was (and I quote), “its my preference isnt that enough“. Whoa! The tone of the sentence was not friendly at all so, since I don’t want to cause any problems, I just said farewell.

Afterwards, I sent an instant message to the Empress of Rome to ask if period clothing is now required when visiting The Roman Empire because I don’t want to cause problems in their RP and to avoid experiences like that. The Empress said that I am welcome to come and wear anything in The Roman Empire which is a relief because I like The Roman Empire. Eventhough, most of everyone I know there are gone I still consider it one of my home in Second Life. (more…)

When JohnnyNite Darkstone vacated the position of Emperor of [The Roman Empire] region, he was immediately replaced by aaminah Shikami and she was coronated Empress of The Roman Empire region last August 20, 2008.

I went to the coronation to capture some snapshots but, because of the amount of people who attended the event, the sim lagged like it never lagged before. LOL! (more…)

A few weeks ago, The Spartan Empire sim had done some re-building and today a new and much better Sparta re-opens. The opening was celebrated with a whole day of scheduled events from Scavenger Hunts to Tournaments and Fighting and it will be ended with a screening of the movie 300.

Yesterday, I spent my free time at Sparta watching the fight against the Minotaur. I also took some clips of the fight for my new Second Life show, Arena Wars. The idea for the show came to me while I was paging through the many group notices that I receive everyday and are sent to my e-mail from The Roman Empire, The Spartan Empire, Samurai Japan, Egyptian Empire and Medevil England which are all under RPG Empires.
Most of the notices contain announcements about fights and tournaments on that particular empire or sim. With so many fights and tournaments happening around the sims of RPG Empires, I asked myself, why not build a Second Life show around it? From there, Arena Wars was born. (more…)
