I just received a very sad group notice from Higbee Protagonist of VPRS (Virtual Parks and Recreation Service). It seems that they have decided to close down VPRS. It’s sad because VPRS is like one of the few remaining pioneers in Second Life.
Attached to the group notice is a notecard with the details of the closure but I decided to visit the site and download the PDF version of the press release which I have quoted below: (more…)
Checking my E-mail assigned to Second Life today, I received an IM ((instant message)) from Higbee Protagonist, of VPRS ((Virtual Parks and Recreational Service)), informing me that my Kiosk has won the contest and from Benoit Lumiere who awarded me the 5,000L$ prize. A group message was also sent announcing the winner of the contest.
I never expected to win, specially after seeing the other entries which were all very beautiful, that’s why I was really surprised to hear the good news. I don’t know if my begging for votes here at Kabalyero.com had any impact on the voting but I guess I got enough votes to win.

To everyone in Second Life, if you wish to see some beautiful virtual parks in Second Life then just drop by at VPRS in-world or at their website, VPRS, to get a list of Virtual Parks in-world.
The voting for Virtual Parks and Recreational Service’s “Kiosk Kontest” is now open. The entries are displayed at West Helsen (10, 178, 50). My entry is the one that looks like a chopping board. LOL!

The voting will end on December 16, 2007 and the winner will be announced on December 17, 2007. The winner will receive 5,000L$, photo and credit on VPRS’s website, credit in all notecards and the winning Kiosk will be used as VPRS’s newest Kiosk.
